- Trevi Fountain - The Trevi Fountain is a globally famous fountain and a stunning example of Baroque art. Designed by Nicola Salvi and completed by Giuseppe Pannini in 1762, it depicts Oceanus, the sea god, riding a shell-shaped chariot drawn by sea horses. Tradition holds that tossing a coin into the fountain guarantees a return to Rome.
- Vicus Caprarius – the City of Water - Just steps from the Trevi Fountain, over nine meters below the current street level, archaeological excavations between 1999 and 2001 during a cinema renovation uncovered a large ancient residential complex. The “City of Water” is a term used to describe the Vicus Caprarius archaeological area, named for the prominent water feature. In the 2nd century AD, a significant water reservoir was constructed within part of the complex, likely in use until the 6th century AD.

Put it in the hole! - Amanda went well over the scheduled time but that was fine. She was very informative, funny and kept it light and could answer many questions.

Love from Australia... - Alessandra was absolutely amazing. Born and grown up in Rome, studied Archaeology and the Arts. Who better to guide you? Her knowledge is incredible; she loves sharing her love and passion of Rome and its incredible history. What an amazing experience. Totally recommend this tour. If we were in Rome longer we would do it again, so much to take in. Loved it!!!

Highly recommend! - This tour is a MUST. My guide was so knowledgable and professional and was so kind to give me a recommendation for a local handmade leather store, which I ended up getting my big duffel bag I was looking for! I took myself to Italy for my birthday and I highly recommend this tour. The history of Rome is just insanely interesting to me that all these thousands of years later the remnants of the city are still there, and people with iPhones and lip filler are living above layers of literal history.

Poor communications and missed tour - Meeting place was changed 12 minutes prior to the start and we missed the text. We then tried to contact the guide to attempt to meet at the second venue but after numerous attempts and no contact from the guide we missed the whole tour. We are requesting a refund. The tour company, not Viator, said that the meeting place had not changed and was always at the Pantheon, yet their guide contacted us that there was a change - very disappointed and frustrated.
