The 2-hour journey from Malaga takes you through captivating countryside, leading to the unique village of Setenil de las Bodegas. This village was named after its once-abundant wineries, which were unfortunately destroyed many years ago by an insect infestation.
Setenil is a truly unique and unusual village compared to most white villages of Andalusia. While most white villages were built on mountains and hills, this town is constructed into caves in the cliffs above the Trejo River. Its striking white houses protrude from the rocks, making it one of the most distinctive villages in Andalusia.
The journey continues to Ronda (20 minutes away). Ronda is one of the oldest towns in Spain, dating back to the Neolithic age, with many historical aspects still visible today.
