Photographing the Bangkok the Tourists Don’t See - I do a lot of travel and landscape photography. So for my time in Bangkok, I wanted to photograph locations I wouldn’t have discovered on my own. And after reaching out to Aperture, I did a walking tour with Joshua. That evening, we started at the old train station, then wandered into Chinatown and finally hit the flower market. We did a lot of street photography. Capturing moments in real time. Joshua showed me some tricks with tracking fast moving vehicles. Doing candid portraits with the people working late night at the flower market. It was fun and Joshua helped me to push the envelope – – work on some new street photography techniques. And I ended up with some Bangkok images that the average tourist can’t imagine.

Night photography - Paul was an amazing guide and photography coach. He led us to unexpected places and helped us to improve our composition and skills. One of the top tours of our trip in Thailand. We got some amazing shots and also saw a side of Bangkok we would have otherwise missed. Highly recommended.

Great experience - I did the 3 hour Bangkok photo tour with Paul end of august and we started at 8am. I enjoyed it very much. Paul took me to a lot of interesting spots, quite apart from the usual places I would have walked myself. But at least as rewarding as the locations, was talking to Paul and getting some insights about different photographic topics. From how to approach people to finding a photographic style, it was very obvious that he is a dedicated and professionell photographer and his positive and dynamic attitude was great. I felt very comfortable approaching people with him, something I normally struggle with. I do recommend this tour, it was a real pleasure. Thanks Paul!

Getting behind Bangkok's outer facade. - Worked with Paul Lukin for two different extended photo sessions at the end of April 2024 in the city. My first time in Bangkok. Both sessions started at 15:30 partly to avoid the extreme heat of the middle of the day. Very sensible as far as I was concerned. We covered architecture and street genres primarily with a bit of portraiture. Our locations were the railway station, Chinatown and an authentic Thai inner city area alongside Chinatown. Paul was brilliant, fully enthusiastic, a true street photographer, fearless, patient where possible, and persistent. We worked in is usual style of black and white which was so effective in Bangkok's back streets. I learnt a lot. Would work again with Paul again without hesitation.

Incredible night photography tour - This night photo tour was the highlight of my week in Bangkok! I learned more in 3 hours than I ever thought possible. Paul, the instructor, couldn't have been more friendly, knowledgable, encouraging, and amazing at teaching. I'm going to sign up for other Aperture Tours now when I'm in the cities they're located in.

Best Photo Tour in Bangkok - This was the best photo tour I have ever been on. Bangkok is very photogenic but my guide took me down alleys and into places not normally seen. Paul was a knowledgeable, friendly guide. Thanks!

Aperture Photo Tour of Bangkok at Night - While on a one week visit to Bangkok I took the opportunity to sign up for the Bangkok Night Photo Tour offered by Aperture Photo Tours. Having done similar Aperture tours in London, Paris and Singapore I was aware of the likely quality of the tour I could expect and was not disappointed. Paul, my assigned Aperture Photo Tour guide, was knowledgeable of the best night photo spots to visit in the city and was valuable in suggesting the best compositions at each location. He also challenged me to try different approaches in capturing the scenes before us. An added bonus was that I was visiting Bangkok during Chinese New Year so I was able to take some great images that captured the festive atmosphere in Chinatown. I would highly recommend Aperture Photo Tours if you want to maximize your photo memories when visiting any of the locations where they offer tours.

Last-minute cancellation, left me with no plans - I booked this tour for my last day in Bangkok. Two hours before we were supposed to meet, the guide canceled, and the company did not have any additional guides that could fill in.
