• Dominica Botanic Gardens - Returning to the city, a 30-minute drive takes us to this next attraction. Along the way, various plants will be highlighted, including the renowned baobab tree that fell on a school bus during a Category 5 hurricane in 1979.
• Morne Bruce - A 5-minute drive from the botanic garden leads to Morne Bruce. Here, guests can enjoy a panoramic view of the capital city, Roseau, and any cruise ships in port. This scenic drive begins in the city of Roseau and continues into the Roseau Valley area. The route passes along the edge of the rainforest, which receives over 300 inches of rain annually. During the tour, plants will be highlighted, and any animals encountered will be discussed. History, culture, and questions are encouraged. Half of the tour involves driving to and around these sites, all of which are easily accessible with minimal walking.
