Setting Sail on the Kraken

As someone who has spent years advocating for sustainable tourism, I was thrilled to embark on the Keppel Islands Adventure and witness firsthand the natural beauty of the Keppel Islands. Departing from Yeppoon, the journey began aboard the Kraken, a spacious and comfortable vessel that promised an exhilarating escape from the everyday hustle. The boat’s design, with its wide-open decks and onboard facilities, ensured a comfortable ride, even as we navigated the occasional rough waters.

For those who preferred to stay above water, the option to relax on the floating pontoon or try stand-up paddleboarding was available. The morning tea and lunch provided were delightful, with fresh prawns and wraps that satisfied our appetites and fueled our adventures.

Dodging stormy weather rolling in off the coast, the ride back was exhilarating, a fitting end to a day filled with discovery and excitement. The camaraderie among our small group, including my husband and his visiting parents, made the experience even more memorable.
