Amazing, relaxing, private, peaceful - We were so well looked after. The place is so calm, private and beautiful. The massages were great. There was plenty of clean towels, accesible water fountains and fluffy robes. W

Private romantic spa - A fabulous place to unwind. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the facilities are calming ( although the showers could have been cleaner) and the massage was amazing. Be sure to tell them if the pressure is too much. If you are in the area be sure to book yourself in

Relaxing and Beautiful - The pools were very relaxing. We had 7 pools to bathe in and there were minimal people at the time we went. We then had a couples massage that was very relaxing. We then had an hour in our own private pool with breathtaking views. We finished the stay with a very nice light lunch and smoothie/sparkling wine.

Relaxing - Beautiful, nice and shady so wouldn't be too bright in sunny weather, lovely and warm. But also has colder temps. We also tried the family pools, my daughter pointed out they could have had music to make it more fun, but I think that would spoil it for those there to relax.

A beautiful setting, well designed outside pools, can accommodate a lot of people but still fell intimate. - In terms of the massage, Eva was excellent 5/5! She had strong hands and relaxed every part of my body. She checked in with me and her pressure really helped me to relax. She is someone that I will recommend on other sites and to friends traveling here. Other positives- The people at reception returned our calls the very next morning and offered us 3 different time slots the next day despite their website saying everything was fully booked. Again 5/5 for the emails and communication. The reason I gave it a 4 had to do with two factors. First, we booked the regular spa as part of a package and it said we could upgrade in the description to other treatments. We were not offered an upgrade that would have put what we already booked towards the massage which would have made sense as we had that in writing. They did say we could use our voucher the day we called and did communicate with the front desk to let us in- all of this was great. But, we had very little time, we were exhausted as spent over 5 hours driving that day and told them we had a dinner experience booked that ended at 9:00 so coming to the pools with a full stomach and tired was not relaxing but exhausting. We stayed for 20-30 minutes. The pools themselves were clean, well labeled in terms of temperature.

Positive experience - Overall a positive experience, many thermal pools to choose from. The best part of our romance package was my facial. I had a lovely lady called Anita She was brilliant. A pricey day out but enjoyable

Beautiful thermal spa, but with swabs - During our trip to New Zealand we visited the Polynesian Spa to relax a bit. We had booked a normal ticket and additionally a Private Spa Suite for 45 minutes to enjoy a beautiful view of the river sealed off from the main area. The thermal springs are pleasantly warm, but it is worth noting that the water has a slight sulfur smell due to the natural springs. The 45 minutes at the private spa was a nice extra, but definitely not a must. You might as well go to the regular pools without spending the extra money on the private suite. A big downside was the atmosphere in the area of the private spa suites. Unfortunately, large Asian tour groups were constantly being passed through there, which considerably disturbed the relaxed ambience. In addition, there were few lying areas to relax. The missing lockers in this area were also impractical – instead, you had to store your belongings in open boxes, with no way to store valuables safely. In contrast, the normal spa area was much quieter and more pleasant. There were several beautiful thermal pools, no tour groups and lockers, so you could safely store your belongings. Conclusion: The Polynesian Spa is a nice place to relax, but with some compromises. If you are looking for peace and quiet, you should rather limit yourself to the normal range, as it is more pleasant and relaxed there. The private suite is not absolutely necessary, as you will not stay in the warm water for long anyway and the atmosphere is disturbed by the many tour groups. Total 4 out of 5 stars.
