Hike and then Hot Springs - Loved the hike around the geysers and hot springs! Loved getting to use the mud and hot spring spa at the end. My skin felt radiant for a week!

Worth visiting! - We went on a guided tour with Tee and learnt a lot more about the geothermal park, its pools and Maori culture than a self-guided walk. Tee was friendly and knowledgeable. The mud pool experience was fantastic. I would recommend visiting in the afternoon as morning seems to be a more popular option.

Great experience - not to be missed - We went on the 1030 guided tour with ‘T’ - he was incredibly informative in a friendly and approachable way. We learnt so much about the history of the area and the different pools. The mud bath was sensational and the sulphur spas relaxing followed by the invigorating cold plunge pool. All in all a great experience not to be missed if you’re in the area.

Great experience, amazing staff - Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the history and culture of the land. The mud baths themselves were incredibly relaxing, and there was even a plunge pool to cool down afterwards with! Also great free shuttle service from the centre of town - they even arranged me to be picked up from my hostel. Overall amazing experience, staff amazing, would definitely recommend.

Great experience - just hire their swimmers! - The walk was well set out and so interesting. Amazing contrast from the rock and boiling pools to the rainforest walk in the middle! The mud soak was really good and the water so lovely. The mineral pool was also good but you do need to be careful about the sulphur in the water with your eyes. They have eyedrops if you have trouble. I recommend hiring their towels and swimmers just to save the washing as it took a bit to get the smell out of our swimmers.

Well worth visiting. - Well worth visiting and an enjoyable few hours. Opted for the morning slot with a local guide which was a good call as he was so knowledgeable of the Geothermal Springs. If we did this on our own we would not have learnt anything.

Amazing Tour!! - We did a guided tour with Michael, who was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic to share stories of the Mauri traditions and culture, as well as give great answers to our many questions about the mud and thermal pools. The mud and sulfur baths felt amazing and a great way to end the tour. Altogether an incredible experience :)
