Beautiful historical visit - 2h00 visit, beautiful, rich in history, dense, intense, very interesting on a Saturday, ideal time 12h because then at 2:30pm far too many people in the streets Our perfect Charles guide!

Gave a wonderful overview of Rouen setting up places to explore further over the next few days - Salma was an excellent guide. She told us that this was only her 3rd tour but was able to provide historical background and as a local gave great insights into best streets, cafes and restaurants.

Get the inside scoop of Rouen with Tanguy - We enjoyed our private tour with Tanguy. He met us at our hotel and then we were off touring the city. Tanguy was very knowledgeable on the history the city, which made the tour enjoyable and worthwhile. Highly recommend Tanguy as a guide.

Tanquey , our guide now part of the family - Tanquey our guide was on time , extremely well informed and spoke perfect English. Beyond that he went out of his way to assist me with family research from ww2 in Rouen. A plus !

A promising first experience - Despite a last minute cancellation by our initial guide, Guydeez was able to provide us with another local guide (Tanguy) whose knowledge of Rouen we could appreciate with some well placed anecdotes!

Not what we hoped for - We have dome a number of viator sponsored walking tours of cities around Europe and this one was quite different. We had hoped to have a Rouen city expert showcase their city with history, stories and insights into the past and present of this charming city. I was asked and responded three times with things we wanted to see on our tour, but no one told our tour guide what we wanted to see in advance. Our tour guide was sweet and attentive and kind and ready to show us any sites that we wanted to see, but he had not been prepped with any of the city's history or historic knowledge about people and places. It was helpful not to have to navigate the city by map, but we truly could have done the tour ourselves and I used google throughout the tour to learn more about the cathedrals and Jeanne d'Arc and Justice Ministry and other sites. We also booked the tour for a Friday afternoon and it would have been helpful to know that the Justice Ministry, clock, Jeanne d'Arc church and other sites would be closed. Other walking city tours have been led by guides with long personal histories in their city who had an abundance of experiences, stories and history to share. We really liked our guide, but he was ill-prepared to lead a historical tour of a city and we fault the company for not preparing him better as he was a college student not a full time guide or historian.

Disappointing - The guide was friendly and able to give us recommendations for restaurants, ice cream, etc. But her knowledge of the city’s history, the buildings, etc. as is ordinarily expected of a guide was lacking.

No show guide - We were very much looking forward to our tour of beautiful Rouen, but the guide failed to show up despite having charged my credit card for the tour a couple of days ago. We waited 45 minutes and decided to go off on our own.
