During winter, the waterfalls transform into magnificent ice formations, renowned for ice climbing and attracting tourists from across the globe.
A guide will pick up guests from their accommodation in Rovaniemi and drive them to Korouoma Canyon, where the hike to the waterfalls begins. Participants will have the opportunity to witness some of Europe’s most spectacular frozen waterfalls and appreciate the beauty of the snowy landscape. A traditional Finnish campfire snack will be served by the open fire to keep everyone warm, providing a perfect chance for the guide to demonstrate fire-making skills!
Snow spikes for boots are optional but can be helpful for those seeking extra confidence while hiking down the canyon to the waterfall.
The tour lasts approximately 7 hours (with about 5 kilometers of walking) and returns to Rovaniemi around 16:00.
