Rovaniemi - After we have collected and dressed our guests with professional winter overalls and boots, your Aurora guide will drive you far away from Rovaniemi, straight out to the wilderness to start hunting for the Northern Lights.
If the forecasts and Aurora predictions are not promising around the Rovaniemi area, your guide may take you up to 400 kilometers away to get a better sky. This excursion is a 7-hour Aurora hunt, you will get the chance to visit several different locations in the middle of wilderness.
This adventure will also offer you the unique opportunity to drive long distances through Lapland and explore Arctic nature. You may embark with your guide on different routes that will always lead you to fantastic scenery. You may end up in the middle of nowhere, where you can enjoy the silence on a lake beach, an open hilltop, or a snow-covered forest.
Focusing on pure Northern Lights hunting, during the tour,we will provide you with hot drinks and light refreshments during short stops to keep your energy level sufficient. Your guide will be equipped with a professional camera and take as many pictures as possible of you and the Northern Lights to capture those unique moments.

Great experience in Lapland - We took two aurora tours with Wild about Lapland (one that lasted 7 hours and the other one that lasted 4 hours).
In the first tour which lasted 7 hours we could see some northern lights. Although we have not seen them so clearly, our guide did his best to drive us as far as possible to places (until the Russian border) where we had a certain amount of probability to see the northern lights.
The second tour that lasted 4 hours was amazing as we could see them very clearly after a 1 hour drive and the pics we took were stunning.
In total, we were very happy with both tours due to the efforts taken by the tour guides.

Top Agency and activities in Rovaniemi - Highly recommended!

The guides are knowledgeable, passionate, kind and funny. Tours are for max 8 people, you move with minivan and the price includes Arctic suit and boots.
Driving the snowmobile for the first time having fun but safely, taking a ride in the middle of a wood full of snow and learning how to light the fire, going in search of the northern lights, waiting for it and being amazed in front of it were beautiful experiences made special by being a small group where for the guides you are a person and not a number!

Great service, very attentive and prepared guides, amazing tours and all the support needed for the tours! - The hunt for the Aurora Boreal was amazing! The Maca guide was extremely attentive and prepared at all times, in addition to the sympathy in passing knowledge about the Auroras!

They made our dreams come true - With clouds above us my sister and I never thought we would see the northern lights but our guide Matus drove us 3-3.5 hrs away from Rovaniemi to spot clear skies. And then the magic was right above our heads, a day that we will never forget. We recommend taking the longer tour with WildAboutLapland for better chances, they do everything to make your dreams come true.

Amazing - The highlight of our trip to Lapland was definitely this tour. They gave us all the required information and tools to go on the tour.
Zhania, our guide, was excellent. She was extremely considerate of each participant's needs and always responded to our inquiries and interests. She led us to two locations where we could take in this natural wonder while she took countless pictures of the entire group.
Highly recommended.

Excellent company to see Auroras Boreales - I was on 31/10, Michal very friendly all the time. We went to 2 places to see, in the 2nd we managed to see Auroras clearly. The clothes they deliver will be appreciated!

The tour you must do! - Absolutely amazing experience! We did a small group tour with Micheal as our guide, super friendly and knowledgeable.
Was a cloudy overcast night and he persisted and persisted at multiple spot, until we got excellent views and photos of the Aurora and northern lights.
All gear was included as well as dinner and snacks.
Excellent experience would highly recommended.

Aurora with Gabor - Beautiful time with Gabor. Evening that will remain etched in our memories as the aurora observed offered us their most beautiful show. We had to be patient but Gabor was so confident that we trusted him!
Thanks to him for his professionalism, his knowledge of this magical phenomenon of nature and his kindness!

What a good luck - Wonderfull experience, and we had a lot of luck: our first try and an immediat success.
Our guide Gabor find the right perfect spot on the first try and took a lot of incredible photo, always kind at every our request.
Tasty snack near the fire with local sausages and bread at the end.

Beautiful experience - The excursion was very satisfying. At the beginning we were a bit discouraged because in Roveniemi at the starting point it was snowing, but about thirty km north (via the guide's app) we reached a site where the sky was clear and we witnessed the show of boreal authors for at least an hour.
The guide was professional, took many photos and good quality.
The site also had a heated tent with brazier where we enjoyed local sausages and drank hot tea.
I would say a more than positive experience
