• Phnom Chisor - Prasat Phnom Chisor (Phnom Chisor Temple) is an Angkorean temple constructed in the 11th century using laterite and bricks, adorned with carved sandstone lintels. It was built by the Khmer Empire’s King Suryavarman I and originally named Sri Suryaparvata, meaning “The Mountain of Sun.” Situated on Chisor Mountain, which stands 133 meters high, the temple is dedicated to the Hindu deities Shiva and Vishnu. On the eastern edge of the mountain, behind the temple, there is an excellent vantage point for viewing and photographing the expansive plains of rice fields and countryside. From this spot, one can look down to the east and see an avenue forming a straight line that connects three main features, including two outer gates (temples) with a cruciform ground plan and a baray.
