Volcanoes National Park - After enjoying a delightful breakfast at your accommodation in Rwanda, the safari driver guide will commence the 6-day thrilling adventure safari across Rwanda and Uganda. The journey begins with a tour of Kigali city, visiting Camp Kigali, the Kigali Genocide Memorial, and local markets. Following lunch, embark on a picturesque drive to Volcanoes National Park.
Golden Monkey Trekking and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Start the day early with breakfast, then gather at the park headquarters for the Golden Monkey trek. After a brief orientation, the park ranger guide will lead the trek, which lasts between 2-6 hours depending on the monkeys’ location. Upon completing the trek, transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, arriving in the evening.
Gorilla Trekking
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Begin the day with an early breakfast, then head to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking guidelines. The gorilla tracking adventure will commence with the ranger guide and fellow trekkers. The trek duration varies, lasting from a few hours to a full day, depending on the gorillas’ movements. Once located, enjoy an hour of interaction and photography with these magnificent creatures before returning to the lodge.
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Queen Elizabeth National Park - This morning, embark on a journey to the renowned Queen Elizabeth National Park. The scenic drive passes through small coffee and tea farms, leading to the Ishasha sector, known for its tree-climbing lions, where an overnight stay is planned. Expect to encounter elephants, topis, Uganda kobs, buffaloes, waterbucks, leopards, lions, and warthogs, among others. Ishasha is rich in grazers, predators, and a variety of savannah birds.
Chimpanzee Trekking and Boat Cruise
Queen Elizabeth National Park - After breakfast, set off for chimpanzee trekking in the Kyambura Gorge, known as the ‘Valley of Apes.’ Following a successful trek, enjoy a hot lunch at the lodge. Later, embark on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which links two lakes and is home to hippos, shorebirds, elephants, and more.
Transfer to Kigali
Kigali - After an early breakfast, either explore the park for any missed sights from the previous day or begin a scenic drive back to Kigali.
