• Vunga - Embark on a hike through the stunning foothills of Binana Mountain and enjoy the waterfalls of the Mukungwa River.

8-9am: The tour begins in Musanze, where participants will travel together to Vunga village to commence the hike.

9-11am: Trek through the magnificent mountain valley, observing the daily life of the villagers who reside in this picturesque area.

11-1:30pm: Engage in the thrilling experience of climbing a waterfall. Discover the distinctive landscape of rubagabaga rocks nestled among the waterfalls. Pause for lunch while soaking in the breathtaking views of the falls.

1:30-2pm: Walk through the mountain forest back to Vunga Village.

2-3pm: Interact with the welcoming village residents as you make your way to cross a suspension bridge, offering spectacular views of Rwanda’s 1000 hills.

3-4pm: Head back to Musanze.

Discover the breathtaking charm of rural Rwanda. This journey starts in Musanze and takes travelers off the beaten path to Vunga Village in Nyabihu District. In Vunga, visitors will receive a warm welcome from the local villagers before embarking on a hike through the picturesque foothills of Binana Mountain. The effort is well worth it upon reaching the magnificent waterfalls of the Mukungwa River. Here, visitors have ample time to explore this distinctive environment—whether by climbing and enjoying the waterfalls or simply relaxing, having lunch, and soaking in the scenery. After enjoying the waterfalls, the group will hike back to the village. Before heading back to Musanze, there is an opportunity to cross the local suspension bridge, offering spectacular views of Rwanda’s 1000 hills.

This is a private tour tailored to the interests of the guests, lasting between 6-8 hours. Participants should bring sturdy hiking shoes or rain boots, a rain jacket, and their own water and lunch for the day. Local snacks will be provided.
