Lao Cai - Lung Khau Nhin - Khau Vang

Muong Khuong - Upon arriving at Lao Cai station in the early morning, a local guide will warmly welcome and pick up the operator.

The operator will then be driven to a delightful local restaurant for breakfast.

After enjoying breakfast and a brief rest, the operator will be transported to Muong Khuong, a quaint town near the border. This marks the beginning of the adventure.

During the journey, the operator will have the chance to admire the serene and breathtaking beauty of local villages, lush and rugged mountains along the Nam Thi River.

After approximately 2 hours, the operator will arrive at Thanh Binh village. Here, the guide will provide an informative presentation about the region and the upcoming expedition before the operator explores the area independently.

Sapa - Departing from Thanh Binh village, the operator will travel southeast to Lung Khau Nhin Na Phin, Na Nam, and Chung Chai village. Along the way, the operator will witness some of the most stunning landscapes, frequently stopping to appreciate the area’s beauty and engage with the friendly H’Mong and Nung people.

The operator will pause for lunch in a shaded area before proceeding to Khau Vang for an overnight stay. The operator will enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep in a Nung stilt house, away from the hustle and bustle.

Khau Vang - Na Cap - Ban Me

Sapa - On the second day, after breakfast, the operator will descend along a single track and dirt roads winding through forests and remote villages.

The guide will highlight some non-touristic yet fascinating points. The operator can observe and even partake in many exciting traditional customs there.

The operator will then hike for about 3 hours before crossing the Chay River.

A pleasant spot will be found for a lunch break.

The afternoon adventure primarily involves navigating rugged terrain to reach Me village, home to the Nung ethnic minority people.

The operator will stay overnight in this village, with the option to sleep in a tent or at the local school.

Ban Me - Quan Than San

Sapa - An early breakfast will be enjoyed in Me village; then, the operator will embark on a trekking journey through rugged terrain. The operator will pass by beautiful and tranquil rice fields and local villages. It’s advisable to keep a camera ready to capture these stunning scenes.

The operator will trek over some streams, so be prepared to get wet. A pleasant spot will be found for a picnic lunch.

After lunch and a short break, the afternoon program begins with a trek along quiet trails to reach the final destination of the day.

After about 3 hours, the operator will arrive at the small Hmong village, Quan Than San village.

Quan Than San - La Kheo

Sapa - The operator will depart from Quan Than San village for more challenging climbs ahead.

The operator will have the opportunity to enjoy breathtaking views of the Thang Sin mountain and distant Hmong villages.
The first trekking destination is Ngai Cho village. The operator will then continue trekking about 8km through remote villages and stunning terrain to reach Thai Giang Pho village.

A pleasant spot will be found for a lunch break.

After lunch, the operator will descend to reach La Kheo homestay for an overnight stay.

La Kheo - Bac Ha Market - Sunday Market

Bac Ha Market - Upon arrival, the operator will explore the market. Here, the operator will see various ethnic minority people in their colorful traditional attire, such as Hmong, Phu La, Back Dzao, Tay, or Nung minorities, and a wide array of homemade products sold by locals.

After exploring the market, the operator will visit a restaurant for lunch.

Following lunch and a brief rest, the operator will take a short walk to Giang Pho village of the Nung ethnic minority people. Nung villages are typically situated at the foot of a mountain or along a stream and are named after a mountain. Upon entering the village, the operator will stop by a traditional Nung house for a cup of tea before returning to Bac Ha. The operator will stay in a hotel and have dinner there.

Nam Mon - Trung Do - Lao Cai

Lao Cai - The operator will drive downhill towards Lao Cai for about half an hour. A stop will be made along the way (before reaching Lao Cai) for a short walk to Trung Do village, inhabited by Tay people. Tay villages are typically located at the foot of a mountain or along a stream and are named after a mountain, a field, or a river. Each village consists of about 15-20 households. Larger villages are divided into smaller hamlets. The houses are built on stilts or level with the ground. A stop will be made at a traditional Tay house for a cup of tea.

After lunch, a boat cruise upstream the Chay River will be taken. The scenery on both sides of the river is very beautiful. The boat trip will conclude at Coc Ly, where a vehicle will be waiting for the journey back to Lao Cai. End of tour.
