This trek offers the opportunity to explore picturesque villages approximately 13km from Sapa, where you can discover diverse ethnic groups, local customs, and cultural heritage.
Starting from Sapa town, it takes about 15 to 20 minutes to exit the town.
Following this, the trek continues along trails through Y Linh Ho village, where you can admire rice terraces inhabited by ethnic communities, primarily the Mong people, who cultivate rice and maize for sustenance and livestock. They also grow thorns and indigo plants for crafting their traditional attire.
The path then leads to Lao Chai village, traversing endless rice fields under the majestic mountains, where a lunch break is scheduled.
Lunch is served between 11:30 and 12:30 at a quaint restaurant, offering a delightful selection of local dishes and the chance to sample happy water. After lunch, the trek proceeds through Lao Chai village, where you can observe the locals working in the rice fields, either planting or harvesting, depending on the season. After a 90-minute walk from Lao Chai (around 2pm), you will gain insights into the local culture, daily life, and traditional practices of the Hmong people.
