Sapa - We’ll meet at Sapa Church at 930am. We will start trekking and pass through Y Linh Ho, passing scenic trails surrounded by rice fields and mountains, and stop for lunch at a local family restaurant at 12.30pm. After lunch, we continue our trek to Lao Chai village and finally stop in Ta Van.

Enjoy your night at my family’s house, where we will enjoy a delicious traditional family dinner together. Over dinner, we can discuss more about local handicraft and Indigo dyeing, which my family does at our cozy home.

Y Linh Ho - Trekking from Sapa to Y Linh Ho

Lao Chai - We will trek from Y Linh Ho to Lao Chai.

Ta Van - We will trek to Ta Van, where you will spend the night at my family’s homestay and enjoy a traditional dinner cooked by my family.

Hello, I’m Sung!

I’m a native of Hầu Thào, a village in Sa Pa and I belong to the Hmong ethnic tribe. Sa Pa once had a collection of 54 ethnic communities, but now only four remain, with the Hmong tribe included. I reside in Ta Van village where I aid my spouse’s family in running the family-owned Indigo Snail Boutique Hmong Homestay.

Given that I’ve lived here my entire life, I am enthusiastic to share my cultural heritage, family history, personal experiences, and knowledge of our ancient traditions with you! I’ll guide you to some hidden gems familiar only to the locals. I’ve traversed the mountainous valleys of this region throughout my existence and for the last 3 years, have offered tours to curious visitors - I invite you to join me!
