Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van (15 km or 6.5 hours)

Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van (15 km or 6.5 hours)
Y Linh Ho - The journey begins at 9 am. The local guide will greet the group at the hotel in Sapa Town or in front of the main church. Following a brief introduction, participants will be guided 2km down Cat Cat’s road, a renowned village of the Hmong minority. From there, the path leads to the hanging bridge over the Muong Hoa river, continuing uphill into the mountains and through a bamboo forest. This route offers the opportunity to admire some of Vietnam’s largest and most stunning rice terraces, along with breathtaking views from the top of Hoang Lien Son mountain. The tour then descends to Y Linh Ho village, where lunch will be served at a small, traditional restaurant operated by a local Hmong family.
Ta Van Village - This segment allows for the appreciation of some of Vietnam’s largest and most beautiful rice terraces, as well as the majestic mountain views from the top of Hoang Lien mountain.
Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai – Ban Ho (12 km or 5 hours)
Giang Ta Chai Village - After breakfast, the group will ascend into the mountains to reach the waterfalls of Giang Ta Chai. Entering the Red Dao area, the local guide will provide insights into their culture and daily life. A brief visit to a Red Dao family will be followed by a return to the waterfalls via an alternative trail, crossing a second hanging bridge. Lunch will be enjoyed in Giang Ta Chai village at a small, local restaurant run by a Hmong family.
Ban Ho – Nam Tong – My Son – Thanh Phu (3km around 6 hours)
Ban Ho Village - Following a delightful breakfast in Ban Ho, the journey continues to Nam Toong village, approximately 3km from Ban Ho. Here, participants can learn about the Red Dzao minority, known for their distinctive red scarves. The route follows a buffalo trail through expansive rice terraces, offering spectacular views of Hoang Lien National Park en route to My Son village.
Thanh Phu – Ban Ho – Sapa (6km around 4 hours)
Ban Ho Village - Day 4 begins with a hearty breakfast, followed by a walk from Thanh Phu back to Ban Ho via a different route along the Muong Hoa River. This easy yet scenic path provides a relaxing conclusion to the previous days, allowing participants to fully appreciate the remaining scenery. There is also an opportunity to swim in the river if the weather permits (or even if it doesn’t, for the adventurous!).
