9:00 AM, depart from Sapa on a narrow road descending into Muong Hoa Valley. The journey begins with a chance to admire panoramic views of the town and the valley from the trail. After 1 km on the main road, the path leads down into the valley via small trails through terraced rice fields, reaching Y Linh Ho hamlet, a quaint village of the Black Hmong people.
From Y Linh Ho village, the route follows the river to Lao Chai village (meaning “old village” in the local dialect). This is an opportunity to visit local families, hear the guide’s insights into the local culture, including their lifestyle, traditional house construction, clothing techniques, and methods of treating illness.
Pause for lunch, which is served at a local refreshment restaurant by the river.
In the afternoon, depart Lao Chai to continue to Ta Van village, home to the Giay people.

Giang Ta Chai Village - Day 2: Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai – Sapa
• After breakfast at the homestay, continue trekking through bamboo forests to reach Giang Ta Chai village, inhabited by the Red Dao ethnic minority.
• Enjoy breathtaking views of waterfalls and rice terraces along the way.
• Take a short break at a local house to learn more about Red Dao culture.
• After lunch, return to the main road where a car or van will transport you back to Sapa town.

Trekking duration: ~3 hours
Tour concludes in Sapa around 2:00 PM.
