Trekking in Sapa (B, L, D)
Cat Cat village - Vietnam’s true allure lies in its diverse ethnic groups. This tour of Cat Cat Village introduces visitors to the country’s most notable indigenous people. Home to the Black H’Mong, this village is the oldest settlement in Sapa.
Trek to the hill tribe and explore a farming community that thrives on cultural goods and agricultural expertise. Capture the natural beauty on the 3km journey. Upon arrival, discover a small village near a hill, surrounded by rice terraces and cornfields. Witness local women working with looms, creating vibrant brocades of various colors and themes. Purchase cloth pieces and other products for loved ones.
After shopping for souvenirs, visit the French-commissioned old Hydro Electric Power Station.
Sapa – Ha Giang (B, L, D)
Ha Giang - Today, travel by car from Sapa, stopping at Hoang A Tuong (“The Cat King’s House”) and Chang Village for lunch. Continue deeper into Ha Giang, enjoying the scenery, before arriving at a small Tay village around 6pm for a home-cooked meal and an overnight homestay.
Dinh Vua Meo - The Vuong Family’s Palace is a must-visit site in Ha Giang for its magnificent architecture and historical significance. Located about 14km from Dong Van town in Sa Phin Commune, it was the residence of the ‘King of H’mong people’. The palace is surrounded by two carved stone walls, with the outer wall being 60cm thick and 2m high, and the inner wall even more robust. Between these walls, a row of oleanders was planted on the 50m-wide land.
The Vuong family’s Palace resembles a stone castle amidst nature, protected by the high canopy of special trees in Ha Giang. The mansion is an architectural masterpiece, taking 10 years to complete. At the time of its construction, the cost was equivalent to about 150 billion Vietnam Dong.
Ha Giang – Dong Van (B, L, D)
Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark - After obtaining permits from the immigration office in Ha Giang, guests will be taken across a series of stunning passes with breathtaking views until reaching the mountain town of Tam Son for lunch. Afterward, visit the H’mong palace, once belonging to the “King of the H’mong” and built by French and Chinese architects, resulting in a unique fusion of styles. The palace was once notorious for storing opium and weapons but was abandoned in the 1950s, with the family’s descendants now residing in France and Canada.
After the palace visit, continue to Dong Van, arriving at 18:00 for dinner and an overnight hotel stay.

Cao Bang – Ban Gioc Waterfall (B, L, D)
Ban Gioc Waterfall - Detian Falls - Many guests consider this day the tour’s highlight, visiting one of Vietnam’s most stunning sites: Ban Gioc Waterfall. After breakfast, embark on a two-hour journey to this breathtaking cascade on the China border. It is the 4th largest frontier waterfall globally and the largest in Southeast Asia. Ample time is provided to explore, take photos, enjoy the views, and even take a bamboo boat close enough to feel the water spray.
Next, visit Nguom Ngao Cave, featuring stunning rock formations shaped by millennia of erosion. After exploring the cave, travel along a beautiful road to the Nung village of Quan Uyen, where Mr. Hung Dao, the local blacksmith, welcomes guests for dinner and an overnight stay.
Nguom Ngao Cave - Nguom Ngao Cave is a natural wonder in Gun Village, Cao Bang Province, Northern Vietnam, near the Vietnam-China border. This province is renowned for its stunning natural beauty, with lush mountains, picturesque valleys, and enchanting waterfalls.
Nguom Ngao Cave is approximately 3 kilometers from Ban Gioc Waterfall, making it a convenient addition to any traveler’s itinerary, allowing exploration of both natural wonders in one visit.
Cao Bang – Ba Be National Park (B, L, D)
Ba Be National Park - After breakfast, bid farewell to the host and head to Ba Be National Park via Ma Phuc Pass. Once in the park, there is ample time to explore the lake through trekking, cycling, or water activities.
Ba Be Lake - Ba Be National Park in Ba Be District, Bac Kan Province, is an excellent starting point for a sightseeing tour of the northeast region. The park offers a vast array of flora and fauna, including many butterfly species, as well as fascinating geology and landscapes to explore.
Ba Be National Park – Hanoi (B, L)
Ba Be National Park - After enjoying a home-cooked breakfast at the homestay, take a stroll along the riverfront to visit nearby villages like Pac Ngoi, followed by a short hike to a viewpoint offering impressive mountain views. Then, enter Hua Ma Cave, famous for its numerous stalactites and stalagmites.
After exploring the cave, enjoy lunch and return to Hanoi, arriving back in the capital around 5pm.
Hua Ma Cave - Hua Mạ Cave is located within Ba Bể National Park, about 80 kilometers from Bắc Kạn City. Shortly after leaving the city, a peaceful scenery unfolds, with mountains playing hide-and-seek with the dawn fog. The first rays of sun shining on the reeds create a perfect painting, dotted with smiling local farmers, their cattle, and market stalls along the road.
