It is an Orthodox Greek monastery within its amazing walls rests a citadel like no other, it is incredibly rich in important religious and historical structures. Among its treasures is the Museum of St. Catherine with icons attributed to the painter Angelos, one of the most famous artists of the 15th century, or to his peers, as well as all six icons by Michael Damaskinos, which are considered among the most important works of the Cretan School of the16th century.
- Dahab - Afterward, we will head to Dahab, the Flower Power City at the Red Sea, for a city and shopping tour. At a local restaurant, we will have lunch and then we will drive you back to your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh.

Great visit - Great day and very informative guide. Tourek was very friendly. It was interrsting to see Ramadan in practice.

Great trip, best experience - It was a super holy experience from all sides. The ride was smooth and comfy. The place itself is more than a historical tour. It is a spiritual journey. The service is great and the guide was super helpful

Desert silence and deeply spiritual - Wonderful place, nice guide and driver. Maybe too many people in the bus. Too many tourists in the monastery but it cannot be helped

Exciting Adventure in Sharm - My wife and I decided to have a trip to Sharm El Sheikh and we found this activity online. This is the first time we have such a wonderful experience and adventure.
The Monastery and Dahab historical citations provide you with good vibes and as overall experience, this was an exciting and adventurous.

Good experience, but could be improved - They got us there and back, and a nice team - driver and guide. But could be a bit smoother. Firstly, they got my hotel wrong for the pick up which is odd, since it was on the ticket they created. Spent 40 minutes going back and forth on WhatsApp but eventually they showed up. The van is a bit snug, so if it’s full, could be a bit tight. St Catherine’s was good, with a few coffee and toilet stops along the way. But I didn’t really understand the Dahab stop. We stopped for lunch at a restaurant just off the highway, between a parking lot and a field of rock and sand. And then we went to a designated shopping stop and straight back to Sharm. Didn’t see any of the town at all. Also we were charged for lunch which was supposed to be included (see pic). It was a lot of food at a very good price, but not included as they said. Wouldn’t it have been better to just let us spend some time in Dahab if we were going to buy our own lunch? Much nicer places near the shopping place than where we went, and we’d have also seen some of the town.

Bad experience - The minibus used to transport 15 people was unsuitable for this excursion. There were 4 of us in the back of the bus I was stuck between the window and a stout gentleman. Driving so many kilometres in such conditions is unacceptable. Even the driver told us that the conditions of travel were not adapted. When
My neighbor was dozing off. I was even more compressed on the bus window. Two tall people had no room for their legs. For the one way we travelled more than 3 hours in these conditions! No safe in the minibus to rid us of a few things. Can't fasten the seat belt in the back. Very uncomfortable trip. I definitely do not recommend. Visit of Dahab non-existent. We ate there and were taken 30 minutes to a state shop where everyone came out in 5 minutes. Then back to Sharm El Sheikh. A traveler in the group with her husband told us that Tourex had promised her to eat by the beach and that we would have a choice of menu. The sea was visible a kilometer away and the same menu for everyone! The meal was okay. Frankly, getting up at 5:00 in the morning for an excursion in these conditions is not worth it. I thought we would climb Mount Sinai. absolutely not! the visit of Saint Catherine lasted about 30 minutes. we paid 2 € to visit the museum which was worth it, but is not very big. The guide told us that we could take a little trek in the mountain to get a nice viewpoint. when we asked him, while he was at the bar he told us go there and you will see... Disappointing day for our group of 4 and for the travelers stuck at the back of the bus with me, as well as for the big ones. The bus was too full. Run away. Chris
