Great tour - It was a fun and unique boat tour where we were able to admire the hippo's up close. Our guide Thobie made the tour even more enjoyable with her enthusiasm and friendliness.

Worthwhile tour with lots of animals and information - Our boatmaster Heini was very friendly and told a lot about animals and the environment in an understandable way. He also discovered baby crocodiles with a trained look. We saw about 10 crocodiles and lots of hippos, but also birds and a flock of catfish. The tour is highly recommended!!!

Book your eyes closed with Thobile! - Our Captain Thobile was GREAT!! She made the boat trip very interesting with her explanations. She speaks English softly, which is convenient to understand. We have seen many hippos, crocodiles (Thobile has good eyes!) and birds.

Recommended! - Really enjoyable boat cruise. We were 4, accompanied by the friendly and competent Thobile guide who explained everything about the lake and the ecosystem. We saw hippos, crocodiles and an eagle fisherman. Two pleasant hours and well spent!

Many animals and good guide - Me and my family are very satisfied with our experience. We had Thobie as a guide, she knew a lot about all the animals that live in the park. We have seen three different pods of hippos, also some baby hippos, crocodiles, birds,... I am very satisfied overall.

Amazing - Wonderful experience Seeing hippos in their natural habitat was easily one of the highlights of my trip. It’s not the kind of wildlife experience that’s loud or dramatic—instead, it’s calm, immersive, and surprisingly beautiful. At first, all you see are little ears and eyes poking out of the water, but as you spend more time watching, you realize just how many are there. There’s something mesmerizing about the way they slowly rise and sink, completely at ease in their environment. Every now and then, you hear deep grunts or see a splash, which adds a bit of excitement and reminds you how powerful they really are. What I loved most was the peaceful atmosphere. The water was still, the surroundings were quiet, and everything felt very natural and untouched. It’s the kind of experience that makes you slow down and really take in the moment. A tip: be patient and keep a safe distance. The longer you watch, the more you’ll notice—and it becomes even more special. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates nature and wants a unique, authentic wildlife experience.
