- The Lake Phuket Elephant Nursery Ethical Sanctuary - 11.30 am. Start your day with a pickup from your accommodation in a luxury, air-conditioned van. From there, take a scenic drive through beautiful scenery to the sanctuary located in the jungle. Meet your guide and learn a little more about the elephants before gathering up some bananas and cane sugar.
1.30pm. Follow your guide through the forest and watch the elephants resting up in the hills, and discover the free-roaming elephants in a safe, sustainable and ethical environment. Your guide will tell you about each elephant’s individual stories.
Walk with the elephants down from the hill. You will learn about their lifestyle and behaviors.
3 pm.Watching the wildlife animals play in the mud and bathe in the ponds by themselves and you will learn from our experienced tour guide with our elephants.
Finally, enjoy a delicious set menu lunch and a dish from the Thai Cooking Class together with seasonal fresh fruits before heading back to your hotel.

Just do it! - The herd was treated with care and love,not like they were performing animals. Staff made sure we are guests and treat their family with respect. Dan is a great guide. Enjoyable lunch they teach you to prepare which is fun and tasty. Please be prepared to go bath the elephants as this and their feeding are their favorites.

Exceptional Experience - This experience was one of the highlights of our trip. The staff were exceptional and treated us all like family. The staff truly care for these animals and it comes through in all their actions. These magnificent giants were so social and intelligent and taught me so much! Such a humbling experience! Amazing!

Best experience in Phuket - This has been the highlight of our trip so far!! Mr.Dang and everyone at The Lake are so welcoming and friendly. Mr.Dang gave us a great insight into what life was like in Thailand and how elephants were put to work years ago. His approach to these magnificent animals is very much animal friendly and with their best interests at heart. He only takes small groups and the elephants aren’t chained or forced to do anything they don’t want to, which is amazing as you really get to see them in their most natural environment. You get the know the elephants by feeding them first and creating a bond so you can then get closer and by the end your in water bathing and scrubbing them down. It’s one of the best experiences I’ve ever had!! And if that wasn’t enough after you’ve spent the morning with the elephants you then get taught how do make a traditional Thai papaya salad that you can enjoy with your Thai lunch buffet which was absolutely delicious! If you do one thing in Phuket please let it be this!!

The tour was perfect - a... - The tour was perfect - a few different acitivities providing plenty of opportunity to have fun with the elephants and get to know them. the tour was not too long, not too short. and the small group added to the experience
Also the tour guide 'Mr Wu' was one of the best tour guides I've ever had - he was informative, funny, and personable.

I met a couple on their... - I met a couple on their honeymoon and they were so happy that this was their first stop. It is an elephant sanctuary with very kind elephants. The workers were nice and give background information on a lot of the elephants there.

Surreal (fantastic) experience! - Our guide, Yu—from Chiang Mai and an elephant owner himself—radiates love for these gentle giants. He and the other staff were professional, courteous, and kind throughout: from the transfers and orientation to the cooking class, and especially while feeding and bathing the elephants. The animals are treated with genuine respect and care. This was more than an activity—it was a soulful, unforgettable experience that will stay with us for a lifetime.

Best Experience I've Ever Had - It is surreal to help feed, brush, and even wash the gentle rescued giants...all in the beautiful jungle with no fences. It's hard to put into words how amazing it is to walk alongside these incredible creatures while learning about their individual histories, rescue stories, and personalities. The day is filled with so much fun it kept all us weary travelers giggling like schoolchildren.
I was with a friend group of four adults, and we can't stop talking about this day. The staff was awesome and the lunch was unexpectedly fantastic. This is a top tour on TripAdvisor for a very good reason. I'm coming back (from the US) with my family to do this again for sure.

Up Close and Personal!!!! - What and experience!!! The drive was about an hour since we were staying in Karon beach but it was a nice drive. I believe the Lake is located closer to the airport.
Upon arrival, I was so excited. We enjoyed the lunch and participating in making a Thai dressing. So good! I don't want to detail the entire experience but we loved seeing these beauties up close and feeding them. I definitely would recommend this experience.

Great Experience - The elephant sanctuary is a very nice place that really cares for the elephants in their care the handlers did well explaining how to approach and pet the elephants as to keep them calm
