Makata Shrine - A short taxi ride will take you to Makata Shrine, where you can purify your hands, draw an omikuji (fortune slip), and offer a prayer for happiness.

Samurai Houses - A 5-minute walk leads to three 200-year-old Samurai residences, with access to two of them. Photography inside is allowed. Imagine the life of a samurai during the Edo period (1603-1868)!

Hiyodori Hill - Just a 1-minute walk away, discover a serene lane through a bamboo forest, largely unchanged since the Edo period.
Stroll along this picturesque path, once used by samurai 200 years ago to travel to and from Sakura castle. It’s an excellent spot for capturing beautiful photos!
- Sakura Museum - A short walk away, visit the Japanese confectionery, Kimuraya Zorokumochi Honpo, at 222-1 Shinmachi, Sakura Chiba prefecture, near the Sakura Museum. Choose your Wagashi to enjoy with matcha or green tea at the Millennium Center or the shop. The Sakura Museum itself will not be visited.
