Make a stop to visit Wadi Doka at the start of the Najd (semi-desert) district, located 35 kilometers north of Salalah towards Thumrait (a Bedouin settlement). Arrive at this UNESCO-listed national reserve, home to 1,230 perennial frankincense trees spread over 5 km², and gain a genuine understanding of this valuable and renowned tree. Besides its fragrant aroma, frankincense is also used for its healing properties.

• Thumrait - Continue to Thumrait Town for a brief refreshment break, perhaps enjoying a traditional Arabian cup of coffee (Qahwah) and dates (Tamer). Thumrait has historically been a crucial point on the ancient Frankincense trade routes. Prepare for the next destination, the archaeological site of the lost city of Ubar.

• The Lost City of Ubar - Explore the legendary Lost City of Ubar, uncovered in 1992 with assistance from NASA satellites.
