Salalah city evening tour - Hamid at Amazing Salalah (helped by his assistant Mohammed) really bring the city to life with their breadth of knowledge and enthusiasm for local culture. We got a wonderful insight into daily life in Salalah visiting traditional fruit stands, the old souk as well as the beach front at sunset where we watched parrots soar through the air while locals enjoyed a picnic on the beach!

The Best Guide To Salalah - Hamid and his team at Amazing Salalah really bring the city to life with their knowledge and passion. It's a great way to experience local culture and get an insight into life in Salalah, from pink bananas to the old souk! I especially loved sundown with the locals on Al Hafa beach, watching a team of parrot handlers do their thing!

Wonderful beautiful I can't express - What an incredible escape to the green paradise of Salalah. My trip during the Khareef season was absolutely magical, thanks to the Amazing Salalah Tourism team. From the misty mountains and lush landscapes of Wadi Darbat to the powerful blowholes at Al Mughsail Beach, every moment was a postcard come to life.

We also had contact with local people. - I had them travel around the city efficiently in a short time. It was a very meaningful tour, of course at the Frankincense Museum, but not just here, talking about the history of Oman. In addition, it was a valuable experience to shop for Frankincense at the souk, see various markets, have a coffee with Haliwa, and have a little conversation with the locals in each place.

Salalah city in half a day! - Our Driver Hamid was excellent. He understood I was interested in a lot of the history of the region (ancient and recent), and spoke knowledgeably about the region as well as showing us the sights. He had us laughing at his stories of growing up in Oman. It is a full-on tour. The walking is easy, but wear decent shoes. The Sultan Qaboos Mosque is astonishing. Hamid talked about his faith and gave us some insight into his beliefs. The Mosque can get very crowded. Worth being patient. Al Balid and the Museum are something we would have missed and if you want to get a feel of the maritime history of Oman, it is well worth it. The views from Itin are well worth the drive. I enjoyed the Salalah Central market. As a carnivore, it was worth seeing how the market works. Hamid explained how the market is regulated. Al-Husn Souq was an experience. Lots of people trying to sell, and we got some lovely cashmere scarves. Was a bit claustrophobic, but ok.
