Non-Muslim visitors are welcome to enter, explore the courtyard, admire the interiors, and take photos, provided they avoid kissing or romantic poses and dress respectfully.

Borj Al Askar - Burj al-Askar (also known as Taqah Fort) is a historic 19th-century watchtower situated on an elevated position above the coastal town of Taqah in the Dhofar Governorate, Oman. It was originally used for coastal defense and to house the soldiers who served the governor (Wali) residing at the nearby Taqah Castle.

Taqah View Point - Taqah Cliff is a high, dramatic rocky viewpoint rising at the far end of Taqah Beach. From the top, visitors can enjoy wide panoramic views of the Arabian Sea, the coastline, Taqah City, and even the distant edges of Salalah. It’s an excellent location for photography and capturing the natural beauty of Dhofar.
Please note that the cliff edge is very steep, so visitors should maintain a safe distance from the edge while enjoying the scenery.
- Wadi Darbat - From Taqah, it takes about 20–25 minutes to reach Wadi Darbat, one of Dhofar’s most beautiful natural valleys. As you drive into the mountains, you’ll see green landscapes, grazing camels, and peaceful open views.
At the wadi, enjoy calm waters, fresh mountain air, and lush scenery. Visitors may also take an optional 20-minute boat ride along the tranquil river or simply relax and enjoy the natural surroundings of this stunning valley.

Khor Ruri - Khor Rori is one of Salalah’s most significant natural and historical sites, where a peaceful lagoon meets the Arabian Sea. Nearby, you can also see the ancient ruins of Sumhuram, once a major port on the old Frankincense Route.
