Cusco - Departing early at 6:30 am, you will be taken to the train station to catch the train to Aguas Calientes, leaving at 7:35 am. Upon arrival at 10:52 am, a guide will greet you and accompany you on a short bus ride to the sacred citadel of Machu Picchu. Built around 1450 during the height of the Inca Empire, the site was abandoned within 100 years due to the Spanish conquest. Although deserted today, Machu Picchu is believed to be a significant center of spiritual energy. An expert guide will lead you through the main streets of this ancient engineering marvel. As you explore, you’ll learn about its history and design, wandering through the town square, key religious sites, agricultural terraces, and intricately designed stone staircases. After the guided tour, you’ll have time to explore independently, capturing photos and absorbing the site’s unique mystic energy.
