Peering through the Veil - Samantha was amazing she balanced telling stories that scared me but made me feel safe walking with her. She was very knowledgeable and had me want to do my own research into the history she mentioned. The photos she showed at each haunted site plus the thick fog that rolled in added to the ambiance.. would for sure book with her again! Thanks Samantha!

Entertaining, Creepy, and Fun - Danielle was our tour guide and she was awesome! Her jokes and high energy made this tour even more entertaining, The tour wound through some of the city’s most haunted locations, including the infamous Murder House and Nathaniel Hawthorne's father in law home. Danielle was incredibly knowledgeable and had a gift for storytelling—mixing real history with eerie legends that sent chills down our spines. During the tour, some of the group members were able to get creepy pictures of lingering spirits! If you’re visiting Salem, I definitely recommend this tour!!

This was an enjoyable... - This was an enjoyable tour where the guide had a great sense of humor and great presentations. We took our 13 and 15 year old, and would recommend this for older kids who can handle the darker humor, which we enjoyed very much.

Scary Salem Walk - Great tour of Salem and its at times morbid history. Sometimes a little over the top. I would have appreciated the standard 8.5 x 11 photos typically used on tours since it was difficult to watch a iphone pic passing by your eyes. Obviously the one video needed to beon the phone.

False Advertisement, Horrible Storyteller, Biased Individual - To make it short: The tour guide did not know what she was talking about. She bragged about people leaving in the middle of her tour. Rather than murder and mystery, it was nothing more than myths, speculation, and a bit of ghost hunting- not what we payed for. To go more in depth: My tour guide was completely off her rockers. The title is murder and mysteries- there was no mystery and all murders were either myth or she added a ‘spin’ to it. My tour guide introduced herself as a psychic medium- I doubt she was. She was incredibly sexist towards men and overall made it weird when regarding my male companion. To illustrate, she was speaking of a ghost girl who haunted I believe what was the Hawthorne Hotel. He asked what room specifically and she responded with something akin to “ohhh, he wants to go in the room with the ghost girl,” implying he wanted to go for more nefarious reasons. I can assure you that was not his intention. She showed that she had no idea what she was talking about when we got to something known as the ‘murder house.’ She went on a tangent about the happenings, but I couldn’t bring myself to focus. She was a horrible storyteller. She claimed it inspired Edgar Allan Poe’s The Tell Tale Heart- which was true as I found out from a local, and The Scarlet Letter. I didn’t understand how it related to The Scarlet Letter, so I asked her where I could see the inspiration and if she could point me to where specifically in the book. She responded by repeating the phrase “It inspired Edgar Allan Poe to write The Tell Tale Heart and it inspired Nathaniel Hawthorne’s The Scarlet Letter.” To further prove her incompetence, once we got to the statue of Samantha from Bewitched, she introduced it as “The statue of Bewitched from the show Bewitched.” She did not even know the name of the statue she was ‘educating us’ on. There was also a bit of ghost hunting- not what we signed up for. The ghost hunting portion was simply taking pictures of supposed haunted buildings with our phones. When speaking of Bridget Bishop- the first victim of the witch trials, she described her as a woman who dressed in bright red and scandalous clothing. She said Bridgette had three husbands during her lifetime and was flirting with the third one while she was still with the second one; this was told like it was a good thing. I was given a very different narrative from a much more trustworthy tour guide. She pointed out the stop where people normally left and pretended they didn’t know her. She also claimed that she did a history tour during the day shorty after stating that she didn’t like history because it was too dry. I highly doubt she was compelled here to help heal the land like she claimed. There was much more to it, but I’m going to stop here. Overall, it is great if you enjoy analyzing crazies, but it isn’t so great if you want to learn.
