Beautiful preserve and very informative tour - The scenery here was unlike anything we'd ever seen. The palms and views were really breathtaking. From what we learned during our tour and what we saw firsthand, it was clear they're truly helping preserve these natural beauties.
Our guides were so warm and hospitable from the moment we arrived. They provided refreshments and even helped our group when we had AMS/small injuries occur.
Our guides brought us up the mountain excitingly [and safely :)] in 4x4 jeeps - we even got to do a little mudding! The guides were very knowledgeable about the history of the area and spoke great English. They shared how the palms are being preserved and protected.
This is a must see if you can make it.
Oh - and I have to mention lunch at the base of the hike was DIVINE.

A couple of unforgettable days in Philandia and Cocora Valley - We loved sharing the day at Reynel and Clara's farm "Mamamaria"
They gave us a visit and experience of their way of making the panela and their flower exploitation, as well as a tour of the estate and a home-cooked meal. And we also visit artisans of the basketry in their home. Oh, great.
The landscapes of Cocora with fog gave a mystical and special touch to the wax palms. Highly recommended and our guides Amalia and MariaC who were .very professional. friendly and familiar.

Salento (Quindio) - Salento is a holiday destination very comfortable. You will find there a design of traditional houses typical of El Eje Cafetero with flowerpots filled with brightly colored flowers, its streets are pretty narrow, there are many shops and handicrafts, it has a warm climate and the people are very hospitable. Also, you can find variety in the gastronomy exquisite dishes, such as: Bandeja Paisa, Trucha al Ajillo, Sancocho de Pollo y Trucha Frita. In addition, you can find many exciting activities to do, for example: Canopy, walks, riding a horse, atvs ride, various extreme activities, the coffee tour among others. If you want to visit a tourist place full of magic and traditions of El Eje Cafetero, you must travel to the beautiful town of Salento.

Visit Salento and Filandia - ⛅Climate: Varies depending on the season of the year
🚌Transport: you can get there by motorcycle, car or bus
✨Filandia and Salento: They are small towns, there is NO cost to enter.
🛍️In the center of the towns is the commercial area, where you can buy crafts and the restaurant area is located.
💰Filandia: Yes, there is a cost to enter the house of ENCANTO, the value is per person.
💃In some streets of the town, they present typical dances of the region.

Totally Overrated Town! Salento is not really worth the trip - Salento is the most overrated town of Colombia. There is absolutely nothing to do in this town. Why would any foreigner bother to come? Just because of an average hike and super overpriced food and drinks for Colombian small town. My advice don’t waste your time ir money! Go to other more interesting more off the road places in Colombia.
