Great tour for a first-time solo traveller - I took a Grand Tetons and Yellowstone tour with Bindlestiff Tours in July 2025, and it was fantastic. Our guide, Aurora, was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and its history. Not only is she a great guide, but she’s also a great chef and skilled driver. The Grand Tetons and Yellowstone are mesmerizing and spectacular destinations that are not to be missed. Camping is fun and is great way to meet new people as well. As a first-time solo traveler in US all the way from Hong Kong, I highly recommend Bindlestiff Tours. The tour offered great value, with excellent arrangements throughout.

Yellowstone lived up to our lofty expectations - It was in an outstanding vacation and Aurora did a great job, leading our group! It does get cold at night, however, so pack accordingly.

Memorable - I did the 4 day Yellowstone grand Teton trip solo and This is my 2nd trip with bindlestiff and it was once again amazing and very memorable, had great company with my fellow travelers and our guide Justin was funny and entertaining and also very informative. He also did a good job keeping everyone cool and continuing to enjoy themselves under an unexpected little situation (not the tours fault) I highly recommend and can’t wait to book tour 3 next summer !

Of course the landscapes are extraordinary but I want to highlights the friendly atmosphere that made these 3-days go so fast. All thanks to our guide Justin for being funny and knowledgeable but also so well-organized, and committed to offer us the best experience. Kept his cool in stressful situation.

Amazing camping and hiking experience!! - I highly recommend this tour for solo travelers, or if you are traveling with family/friends. I had an amazing experience camping for the first time. We covered two national parks - the Grand Teton and the Yellowstone in 4 days. We did a lot of hiking, we drove around the national parks, stopped to photograph wildlife, and then we stayed the night at the campgrounds. The hikes included the trails around the Genny lake, several geysers, canyons, etc. We ended the days chatting around the campfire. It was a very enjoyable experience. The trip was very well organized, and I had a lot of fun! Hailey has been a great tour guide, and she managed everything really well. The temperatures in the park can swing between 90s (Farenheit) during the day to the 40s at night in the summer - so come prepared.

Inappropriate communication from tourguide - The tour generally was well planned however I had bad experience with the tourguide Craig. I was one of 2 solo female travelers and we were grouped with another ladies and their son/ nieces so it was a good group. However the tourguide makes me feel uncomfortable when as soon as we leave there was a schoolboy called him Mr.Craig and he said we can call him by name but only me can call him Mr.Craig. The next days he also said things like “Do you want banana?” and brought a bunch of banana to me individually (the breakfast table was 20m further and people were gathering there), or he asked “how are you this morning?” after a stormy night at Grand Teton campsite and didn’t wait for my answer he said “are you wet?”, I was silent so he said “wet because of the storm”. On the 3rd day there were confusion about pickup day and time and he wasn’t happy that a few people including me was late 15mins for pickup to the next destination but he took it so personally and angry at us, even a lady who was always on time but only late once that time told me he was still mad a few hours later. I and another boy was confused when we get to the lunch spot and were late for lunch, because there were 3 buses from the same company going on the same tour/ stay in same campsite but we don’t leave/ arrive at the same time in each attraction, I was told our bus will have lunch in the parking after 10 mins walk but while walking I saw the bus with company logo was driving to the upper parking lot, I and a boy thought they moved the bus so we walked up to that bus but turned out it was another team (tourguide Justin gave us a lift back to Craig’s bus) and we apologized but Craig was mad and he later on said it’s not his fault that we were late because of the confusion, it was our fault. I think this problem could be solved if the company put number 1-2-3 on each bus so guests don’t get confused. However Craig took it so personally, when we get to the next spot he didn’t offer a meeting time, he said it doesn’t matter you guys will be late anyway. We were looking at each other thinking how can he communicate this way to customers? On the last night he said we will wake up at 7 and depends how long it takes us to pack things up we can leave later or earlier and do one or two stops. But he didn’t give a timeline (ie leaving by 8:30-9am) so a few people packed up as early as 7:30 but some didn’t pack till 8:45. And Craig gave us silent treatment the whole morning and he did all the packing/ loading stuff to the trailer without asking help (of course we offered help) and THEN he swept the bus and cleaned rubbish (he could have told us to throw our own rubbish out of the bus while we were waiting for him to lock the trailer as he usually did) and THEN he checked the engine oil (why at that 9am on our last day?). Justin’s bus left at 08:30-45 and we didn’t leave till 09:15-20, all of this made us feel like he delays departing time and because of that we didn’t arrive in Salt Lake city till 7pm (on the tour itinerary arrival time was 4pm). During the first day a few people were late and we talked about it among the group about being on time. However overally as a tourguide Craig failed to communicate the expected timelines effectively and professionally. And the jokes/ comments toward me personally were inappropriate. It could have been a better tour.
