A Journey Beyond the City

Salt Lake City, with its urban charm and vibrant energy, is a place I’ve always wanted to explore. But as a marine biologist, my heart yearns for the call of the wild, the whisper of the wind over water, and the thrill of discovering new landscapes. So, when I found myself with a free afternoon during a conference, I seized the opportunity to embark on the Great Salt Lake Tour and explore Antelope Island.

The journey began with a convenient pick-up from my downtown hotel. Our guide, Travis, was a fountain of knowledge and enthusiasm, setting the tone for an unforgettable adventure. As we drove the 45 minutes to Antelope Island, the cityscape gradually gave way to the vast, open beauty of the Great Salt Lake. Wildlife Wonders

Equipped with hiking poles provided by Travis, we ascended to a vantage point that offered panoramic views of the lake.
