• Burg Hohenwerfen - The Castle of Werfen is one of the most stunning mountain fortresses in the Alps and was featured in the movie “Where Eagles Dare” with Richard Burton and Clint Eastwood. It was the Castle of Werfen that was used as Eagle’s Nest, not the original site in the Bavarian Alps. Be amazed by the birds of prey show by the historic state falconers, showcasing mainly native birds of prey in free flight!
• Berchtesgaden - Arrive in the delightful Bavarian town of Berchtesgaden, where there is time to unwind and enjoy a traditional Bavarian lunch (at own expense). Wander through the historic center, explore local shops, or simply absorb the alpine ambiance before proceeding to the Obersalzberg and the Eagle’s Nest.
• Obersalzberg - The Obersalzberg is one of the most historically significant sites in the Bavarian Alps, once serving as a key secondary headquarters of the Nazi regime.

During the stop, the guide will highlight the former Berghof site, Hitler’s mountain residence, and explain the historical significance of this area within its alpine setting.

Today, the Obersalzberg presents a striking contrast between its serene mountain scenery and its complex past.

• The Eagle’s Nest - From the Obersalzberg, access the Eagle’s Nest with special buses and an elevator. Spend 2 hours at the Eagle’s Nest. Take a walk to the nearby summit Kehlstein to enjoy views of the picturesque Bavarian and Austrian Alps. From November 1st until about May 10th (depending on the year’s snow conditions), the Eagle’s Nest direct access road is closed; alternatively, a visit to the Rossfeld summit is offered. From this vantage point, enjoy panoramic views of the stunning Austrian and Bavarian Alps and the nearby Eagle’s Nest. Feel free to choose this option even when the Eagle’s Nest is open if a less crowded, more local site is preferred.
• Salzburger Altstadt - After eight hours exploring the Eagle’s Nest and the Where Eagles Dare Castle of Werfen, the private tour will conclude with drop-off at the Salzburg City hotel or any other location in Salzburg.
