• Schloss Leopoldskron - Located slightly south of the city center and surrounded by an artificial lake, the rococo palace Leopoldskron was used for filming 10 outdoor scenes of the Sound of Music in 1964, depicting the von Trapp Family home.
• Hangar-7 - Hangar 7, a notable landmark of Salzburg Airport, houses Red Bull’s historical Flying Bulls aircraft fleet and a collection of Formula 1 race cars. Hangar-7 also hosts art exhibitions.

• Schloss Hellbrunn - The next highlight is Hellbrunn Palace with its trick fountains. Hellbrunn served as a pleasure palace for the archbishops of Salzburg, used for celebrations, leisure, and relaxation. The prince archbishops used Hellbrunn as a holiday residence with a vast park and trick fountains. Building pleasure palaces was very fashionable in the early 17th century. Enjoy a guided tour of the trick fountains followed by an audio-guided tour of the castle. In winter, visit Mozart’s Residence instead, as the trick fountains and the castle are closed during the winter months.
