Beautiful Salzburg - Beautiful City, went up to the castle and had a beer, walked around the old town and had another beer, what’s not to like. Some stunning architecture and fascinating to see places where The Sound of Music was filmed. Never realised it was based on a true story, so learnt something today 🙃

Nice overview of city - Andreas was a great guide, so knowledgeable and informative. He incorporated places from the Sound of Music tours, as well as a walk into the Old Town. Walk was at a nice pace, despite the heat and he found shade and water for us. I would definitely recommend his tour to a first time visitor in Salzburg.

Enjoyable, educational and well paced - I really enjoyed the pace of the tour along with all the great information that Elizabeth provided. It was a solid start of where else to explore during the remaining of the Salzburg trip.

Enjoyable tour but they need headsets to hear the guide. - It was a good tour stopping at all the appropriate spots. The tour went at a good pace with some downtime to look around and get a drink. The biggest negative for this is that there are a lot of people around you and it is a challenge to hear the guide. They really need to use a headset or do smaller tours.

Solid experience. Would recommend. - Very fun and pretty worth it. Still it’s pretty expensive. Make sure to pack rain gear if it says it will rain even 4-5 hours near your time since weather is unpredictable. Our tour guide was very funny and knowledgeable, even beyond the tour. Wish he spoke a bit louder or brought a speaker.

Nice tour to learn about the city - We loved this activity! Our guide was clearly passionate about the city and its history—you could really feel his enthusiasm as he shared stories and pointed out the highlights of Salzburg. His knowledge and energy made the tour engaging and enjoyable. I’m giving it 4 out of 5 stars only because I believe the use of an audio system or headsets would significantly improve the experience. Salzburg is a busy city, and with all the street noise and crowds, it was sometimes hard to hear everything he was saying—especially if you got even slightly separated from the group. The highlights of the tour included fascinating stories about Mozart’s life and the creation of The Sound of Music in Salzburg. In addition, he guided us through the merchant streets, discussed local shops, and shared insights about the churches and the important role of religion in the city’s history. This tour helped us get oriented in Salzburg and gave us great ideas for what to explore in more detail during the rest of our stay. Despite the audio issue, we would still recommend this excursion and hope that the organizers consider adding headsets to enhance the overall experience.

We did this on a very hot... - We did this on a very hot afternoon which took away from the tour. The tour guide was a to focused on shopping points, but we did enjoy the sights and history.

Couldn’t hear - Very difficult to hear Andreas. Suggest headsets for all. There were many tour groups around which also made it hard to hear.

Puerile - recommend you look elsewhere for a tour. - Having been on numerous walking tours over many years, this was the worst I have experience. The tour managed to tell us nothing. If your interest in Salzburg extends beyond superficial references to Mozart, "recommendations" to various tourist traps or puerile references to the Sound of Music then I suggest you look elsewhere for a tour.
