Unexpected perfection - When Patrick, our guide, got out of a brand new Audi & greeted us, my 1st thought was "how is this 20 something year old Austrian kid going to inform this 61 year old man and his wife about things we've studied for years." Never judge a book by its cover because our day with him was absolutely perfect. Patrick is a brilliant young man who guided us on one of the best tours we've ever been on. He even went beyond expectations and took us to Sound of Music locations our Panoramic Tour failed to do the day before. His English is flawless and it's a day I'll never forget.

Outstanding trip! Wonderful guide! - Lena was exceptional! She guided us everywhere and even went all the.way to Eagles Nest and explained everything in depth. She made the trip wonderful. Her attention to detail was perfect. The restaurant we ate at in Berchtesgaden had a. Beautiful view and wonderful food. Can’t say enough wonderful things about the whole day. Well worth the money we spent on this trip. In fact, it has by far exceeded our expectations. Thank you TripAdvisor for recommending this tour company. It was THE HIGHLIGHT of Salzburg!!!!

Amazing experience for the entire family! - I can't say enough good things about this experience. This is run by a father-son team who are both very fun and very knowledgeable. We were a group of 5 ranging in age from 10-80 so it was hard to find things that everyone loved. This trip was a winner for all! My kids especially loved the salt mine tour with the slides, and the views from Eagle's Nest are amazing. The guides picked a great spot for us to have lunch as well. Overall, this was a highlight of our trip!

Amazing experience for the whole family - This tour is led by an amazing father-son team who are both fun and knowledgeable. We were a group of 5 ranging in age from 10-80 so it’s hard to find an activity that pleases all, but this one did! The salt mine was a highlight for the kids, especially riding the slides. The tour of Eagle’s Nest is also worth the trip - the views are amazing. Patrick and Manfred were able to point out and explain so many details along the way, the mountains in the famous Sound of Music scenes. Their personality and expertise really made the day great. I’d go on any tour that they were leading.

An amazing day trip!! - Our day trip with Manfred was fabulous. We were only in Salzburg for 1.5 days so we needed a tour that covered a lot! We were able to see the beauty of the mountains along with some history. Manfred drove us through some of the most beautiful areas throughout the day. The salt mine tour was fun and informative! We had lunch overlooking the town of Berchtesgaden and the mountains. Gorgeous! Following that, we were able to see the site of Hitler’s main home in Obersalzberg and then Eagles Nest. Manfred is extremely knowledgeable in the history. We learned so many things we did not know before. I would 100% recommend this tour with Manfred as your guide! He also gave us lots of tips and restaurant recommendations for the city of Salzberg. Thank you, Manfred!

Beautiful and interesting tour! - We really enjoyed our trip. We were bummed that the eagles nest was closed due to snow but appreciated the additional tour options offered by Gabby. It was a very nice tour.

Salt Mine, Berchtesgaden and Bavarian Mountain highlights - This tour was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Austria. Our guide Manfred was on time picking us up and was full of interesting information during the day. Manfred went out of his way to show our family of 4 (including 2 teenage boys) beautiful and interesting sights. Manfred had made our reservations in advance for the Salt Mine (AMAZING tour) and lunch and was also very adaptable to adjust our schedule when the weather shifted. We truly saw more off the beaten path highlights and interesting little stops that we never would have encountered otherwise. In addition, Manfred went out of his way to help us secure dinner reservations in Salzburg at local hotspots. This tour was fabulous and our family highly recommends it!!!

Great Tour Group. They make it soooo easy! - MCM Tours and Travel were very accommodating from the start. They were prompt in answering my emails prior to our trip and making suggestions that would work for my family of 5. We chose to tour the Eagle's Nest from Salzburg, on a Sunday. We wanted to go to the 8:30am mass first at the Cathedral. Patrick picked us up promptly at 10am right outside the cathedral at Mozartplatz (Mozart Square). His van fit us comfortably, and it was very clean. He spoke very good and clear English. From there we went to the Salt Mine Tour. We weren't planning on doing the salt mine, but we had our 3 young adult children that range from 19 to 25, Patrick recommended it and a friend from home said it was fun plus it was raining, so we decided to do it. It was surprisingly fun. I'm glad Patrick suggested it. From there we drove to the Eagle's Nest looking at beautiful scenery and listening to the history of the area from our guide. I always like private tours. You get to learn about the history, but also present day "real" life from your guide. What it's like to live in Austria today, his life and family etc... Before the Eagle's Nest we wanted to stop for lunch and Patrick guided us to a lovely rooftop restaurant called Restaurant Panorama in Berchtesgaden. It had wonderful views of the Alps and the Eagle's Nest. Wouldn't have known about it if it wasn't for Patrick. After lunch, we proceeded to the Eagle's Nest. Patrick made it very easy for us to get the tix and the bus up the mountain. He came along and provided info about the place and had us go outside on the terrace first because he knew the rain would be coming. It's just easy when you have a guide. You struggle with the travel of getting to a foreign country, all the luggage, the language barrier and all the other unknowns. It's just easy when you have someone as kind and knowledgeable taking care of you along the way. I would definitely recommend this tour and this tour group. They provide a great product and great service. Worth the money.
