Fantastic Whale Watching & Bacardi Island Trip - We had a wonderful experience on this tour with Emilio and Rene. They were professional, knowledgeable, and made the trip enjoyable from start to finish. The whale-watching was incredible—we saw several whales, and Emilio provided great insights about them. The boat ride was smooth, and everything felt well-organized. Bacardi Island was stunning, with beautiful beaches and clear water, perfect for relaxing. Rene made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The entire trip was well-paced, giving us enough time to enjoy each part. We also appreciated the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Overall, a fantastic day and a highly recommended tour. Thank you!

Excellent whale watching adventure with great commentary! - Trip was very organized, pickup was easy and on time, great value! Saw lots of whales, the time on Bacardi Island was very fun. Best part was our guide Emilio - he was knowledgeable, personable, and very kind. His commentary was my favorite part of the trip!

Excellent experience - What a great day it was! Nicely picked up at our resort, on arrival at the boat a small snack and coffee. And then the whale watching trip begins. So pure to experience this. In the afternoon a lunch and a few hours stay on bacardi island. Did a nice photoshoot, got to play with a sweet monkey. At the end of the afternoon tired but satisfied again, back to the boat and the trip back to the resort.

Beautiful boat ride, gorgeous beach, delicious meal & majestic whales - I think the title explains it all! My husband loves uncrowded, clean, swimmable beaches. I really wanted to see the whales. We experienced both! The tour guide, Franklin, was funny & knowledgeable.
After receiving a confirmation email that we would be picked up in front of our hotel which was on the list of pickup points, we received notice that we would not be able to be picked up at our hotel (which was not easy to access for buses) & had to walk a few blocks to the pickup spot.
Please keep in mind that these tours are compiled of many steps and pieces. My husband calls it “organized chaos.”. You may be picked up by one bus then be sent off on another bus. It may seem a little scary or sketchy at first, but it really is the Dominican way. If you have ever traveled to Thailand, the Middle East, China, or several other touristy places which have local populations dependent on bartering for services.
Recommendations: bring lots of sunscreen, bring hand sanitizer, always have some toilet tissue with you & a small bottle of liquid soap or soap sheets.

Beautiful, relaxing excursion - All around it was a nice trip. The whales were definitely the highlight!
The organizer contacted us via WhatsApp about pickup time etc.
The bus ride from Punta Cana was problem-free. You stop at a souvenir shop, where you can also go to the toilet or buy something to drink.
At the port you get a sandwich and a drink in a cafe. Then it's time for the boat. Either you go whale watching directly and then to Bacardi Island or vice versa, depending on the group.
Bacardi Island is quite nice, but there are a lot of people there, including from the Aida. The beach is not as crass as you might think.
You get there p.P. two vouchers for drinks at the bar (Cola, water or Rum-Cola) and a voucher for eating at a buffet (rice/beans, potatoes, carrots, a bit of salad with fish and meat. It was okay).
Our scout Emilio was great! Very sympathetic. On the bus ride he told interesting facts about life in the Dom Rep and guided us through the day well in time (good English and Spanish).
If you have a sensitive stomach or are seasick, you should prepare well for the boat trip. With all these waves, you can get really sick. We saw two whales, got close to them and were able to take great photos. It was fascinating. Emilio says you have an 85% chance of seeing whales. Samana Bay is a national park with clear rules for whale watching. We were partly the only ones, partly with only one other boat at a whale or at one point.

Fun day - Pick up from my hotel was seamless (if a little early). The whales were great. The ride there was interesting. Loved lunch and time on the beach. Nacho told us some history of the island. Two recommendations, provide the guides with some information about whales and please don’t introduce politics into the trip.

Sensational ! - Sensational show! Thank you for this moment.
The bus ride is a bit long and above all too noisy… no need for a microphone all the time!

Punta Cana Transfer is not a reliable party. - It was bad weather. Rain, cold, high waves. It was not responsible to be on the water with an open boat. The operator knew the weather would be bad, but we weren't warned. As a result, no rain gear or dry clothes (the guide had all that). No excuses or anything.
Avoid Punta Cana Transfer!
