Korean Folk Village - The Korean Folk Village offers a glimpse into traditional culture from the late Joseon period, welcoming both local and international guests with cultural classes, shamanistic beliefs, seasonal customs, and more. The village features various unique areas such as a farming village, private residences, official districts, a Confucian academy, a seodang (village school), and a village street, all depicted realistically. Additionally, it includes a nobleman’s house and traditional workshops.

Seasonal performances like nongak (farmer’s music), horseback martial arts, traditional wedding ceremonies, and other special events are available. Notably, ‘Welcome to Joseon,’ held every May, is a performance that transports visitors back in time. The large family park includes a volcano site, ice sledding area, and markets. Visitors can savor traditional Korean rice cakes such as jeungpyeon (steamed and fermented rice cake), injeolmi (rice cake coated with bean powder), bukeo-gui (grilled dried pollack), or pajeon (green onion pancake) paired with dongdongju (traditional Korean liquor).

Jeonju Hanok Village - Jeonju has been designated a Creative City for Gastronomy by UNESCO’s Creative Cities Network. This accolade highlights the city’s traditional home cooking, passed down through generations, its active food research, its chef training programs, and its unique local food festivals.

Jeonju, A Journey Back in Time

Hanji Museum - Specializing in Korean Traditional Mulberry paper, this museum is Korea’s first dedicated to paper. It houses a vast collection of 3,000 artifacts and a database chronicling the rich history and excellence of Hanji (Korean paper). Visitors can also participate in a DIY experience to create Korean paper using wooden tools and take it home.

Jeonju Korean Traditional Wine Museum - This museum showcases the tools and machinery used in alcohol production, offering an in-depth look at different types of Korean traditional wine. Highlights include the alcohol preparation and fermentation rooms, where visitors can hear the amplified sounds of fermentation through speakers.

Gyeonggijeon Shrine - A symbol of Jeonju’s Korean-style village, Gyeonggijeon is particularly stunning in autumn. Its scenic surroundings are often used as backdrops in historical dramas and films.

Dragon Hill Spa - Yongsan Dragon Hill Spa features a charcoal sauna infused with an oak aroma, created using traditional heating methods.

The jjimjil-bang and spa facilities include sweating rooms/saunas, an open-air bath, seawater bath, salt room, swimming pool, and health center. The main hall of Yongsan Dragon Hill Spa showcases a Chinese-style design and a luxurious interior, serving as a filming location for various Korean TV shows.
