Korean Folk Village - The Korean Folk Village offers a glimpse into traditional culture from the late Joseon period, welcoming both local and international guests with cultural classes, shamanistic beliefs, seasonal customs, and more. The village features various unique areas such as a farming village, private residences, official districts, a Confucian academy, a seodang (village school), and a village street, all depicted realistically. Additionally, it includes a nobleman’s house and traditional workshops.
Seasonal performances like nongak (farmer’s music), horseback martial arts, traditional wedding ceremonies, and other special events are available. Notably, ‘Welcome to Joseon,’ held every May, is a performance that transports visitors back in time. The large family park includes a volcano site, ice sledding area, and markets. Visitors can savor traditional Korean rice cakes such as jeungpyeon (steamed and fermented rice cake), injeolmi (rice cake coated with bean powder), bukeo-gui (grilled dried pollack), or pajeon (green onion pancake) paired with dongdongju (traditional Korean liquor).
