Our tour was carefully curated and will take you on a journey through the backstreets of Bangkok, mopping up a 15+ taster menu in street spots and eateries that have been serving locals for decades. We’ll meet at Yaowarat to discover the rich Thai-Chinese culinary marriage that make this district one of the city’s most buzzing street food spots. It’s not just about the food though. It’s about the people behind the plates who have dedicated their lives to cooking on the street.

Highly recommend! (And bring your appetite) - This tour was a highlight of our time in Bangkok. Nood, our guide, and Kor, the runner who went ahead to secure our orders for the next restaurant, made the tour seamless. Nood was exceptional - knowledgeable about the history of all of the stops, the food, and to top it off, was so much fun; the whole group was laughing and everyone had a good time. It was fun to share food and stories around a table with new friends. The food itself was all incredible - it was such a great way to sample so many of the local highlights, though, be warned - definitely bring your appetite! Thank you to Nood and Kor for making the day so special and fun; it’s definitely a memory we’ll be taking away from our trip :)

Great food experience - The Bangkok street food tasting tour was one of the highlights of my trip. Everything was well-organized, and I felt taken care of from start to finish. I did the tour solo, and it couldn't have been a better choice. Everyone in my group was friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed, and I never felt out of place.
Peng, our guide, was truly wonderful. She's not only full of knowledge about Thai cuisine and food culture but also kind and warm. She made everyone feel welcome and even introduced us to the people working at the stalls, which added such a personal touch. You could tell she really loves what she does, and that made the experience even more special.
The food itself was absolutely amazing. Every dish was tasty, and I can say I would never have found these spots on my own. We tried so many different things, and loved them all.
If you’re in Bangkok and want to really taste the city, I cannot recommend this tour enough.

Bangkok food with history - Our tour guide, Chai, was extremely knowledgeable about Thai/Chinese infused culture in Bangkok. He was also up on his Thai history and other bordering country influences. Now to the food, with over 15 tastings you couldn’t ask for more. The variety of foods were fantastic and there was more than anyone could ask for. A big thanks to Chai’s assistant, Champ for his preperation ahead of us to make sure we had a table at each stop.

Insightful and Delicious Journey Through Bangkok’s Local Cuisine - We did the private Bangkok Backstreets Food Tour with A Chef’s Tour and had a fantastic experience! Our guide, Johnny, was friendly, informative, and very knowledgeable about the local food and culture. He was joined by Mikee, who helped coordinate each stop by going ahead to secure our tables and also shared interesting insights along the way. Their teamwork made everything run smoothly.
The food was delicious, and each stop offered something different and memorable. We were traveling with our 7-month-old baby, and they were incredibly accommodating — letting us move at our own pace and making sure we were comfortable the whole time.
It was a well-organized, relaxed, and enjoyable tour. We’re very satisfied with the experience and would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to explore Bangkok’s food scene in a deeper, more local way!

A great culinary adventure! - My husband and I joined other foodies from Spain, The Netherlands, Australia, and the USA for an unforgettable culinary experience. Pang and Cat were our guides and were WONDERFUL! The food was great (tasty and very generous portions). I would highly recommend this tour.

The best food tour we have ever done - Went to really interesting and diverse food stalls and restaurants, all of them had really good stories and was the best of the best dishes. Well looked after in the small group and we had more dishes and tastings than expected. Hosts Tao and Kat were super friendly and helpful. Loved this tour and would highly recommend for anyone to do.

Eating Excellence on Easy Mode - Professional and delicious at all times, we couldn’t think of a better way to explore the food of Bangkok’s Chinatown. Our guide Ng was super friendly and knowledgeable about all of our dishes and vendors, and the whole experience was a seamless wait-free ride of varied delights as the team prepared spots ahead of us. No food limits, no flop choices, and no regrets booking this tour!

Food marathon in Chinatown - So.Much.Food. we worked our way through lots of interesting nooks and crannies in the Chinatown section of Bangkok.
