Arrive early for this... - Arrive early for this tour to avoid waiting around we got there 8:30 and was on the first tour.
The tour itself is what you’d expect I have read reviews about the conditions for the camels they seemed well looked after to me.

        Fun walk - Fun experience.
Short walk, 30 minutes, but enough to enjoy the landscape and the company of animals.

Could not fault, was a great experience - Very well organised, we got there early and only waited about 40 minutes to get on. Staff very helpful and good with the kids. Even used our phones for photos of us on the camels. The on ride photo was lovely and a bargain at 5 euro!! Great experience would definitely recommend. 10/10

A great experience - It is an experience to ride the camels through the dune.
However, an online time-forget would be advantageous for holidaymakers, as otherwise you have to wait a long time and get the time around.

Badly organised - We booked online for 11 am but had to wait until 13:40 before our turn. There is shade and a vending machine, that’s all. There is a 15 min walk from the paid parking to the park on very unkept road.
All in all it was a poor day of our holiday. The camel ride is good, but unfortunately the waiting let it down.

Too much Waiting time - We went at ten and the crowd DE people there were, they had us until almost 1 to ride, having reservation in advance. DE should control the capacity more and give advance notice.

Animal suffering and no informative ride. - They were dromedaries and not camels. The animals were all wearing a steel wire muzzle with wounds on their noses.
Animals were very unkempt!
A guide was booked in English but there was no guide.. Just a couple of guys who drove the motorcade. Not a single word of explanation about the environment or animal..

Never again! - Title: Never again – animal suffering instead of fun
Rating: ★☆☆☆☆
I thought that a camel ride in Gran Canaria would be a special experience, but it made me especially intensely sad. What seems like fun on the outside quickly turns into a confrontational image of animal welfare that is totally lacking.
The camels are used as burden animals for tourists, have to carry people and extra counterweight, and all during a long walking route. There was nothing to be seen of a ring in the nose, but the ropes with which they were attached were remarkably short and tight, and moreover all connected together. As a result, the animals had hardly any freedom of movement.
There were even several camels trying to run away, and I myself tended to get out on the way because it felt so bad. So sorry I ever did this.
Nothing is told about their care or circumstances – it seems this is deliberately concealed. This did not feel like a unique holiday experience, but like supporting animal suffering.
I absolutely do not recommend this and do not understand that it is promoted – even by travel agencies. For me, this was a one-time mistake. Never again.
