Awesome - We had a fantastic 2–3 hour nature and bird walk with Elias in La Fortuna, Costa Rica—truly one of the highlights of our trip! Elias was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the local wildlife. Thanks to him, we saw many species we would have completely missed on our own, including the amazing red-eyed tree frog, delicate glass frogs, and a variety of beautiful birds. He had an incredible eye for spotting even the most well-camouflaged creatures and shared fascinating insights throughout the walk. Our 8-year-old daughter was totally engaged and learned so much—Elias made the experience fun, educational, and accessible for all of us. Highly recommend this tour for families or anyone wanting a deeper appreciation of Costa Rica’s incredible biodiversity!

Great night tour! - We had a great night tour with Joe! He showed us numerous animals (many frogs😉) and gave us a lot of valuable information! Highly recommended!

Wonderful experience - Wonderful night hike. We saw lots of creatures and learned a lot from our guide. We had transport from our AirBnB and everything was seamless. 100% would recommend!!

DANAUS: BIODIVERSITY IN FULL - one of the best experiences we had. DON'T FORGET TO TAKE THE GUIDED TOUR. You can do the self-guided trail, but you'll miss 80% of the wonders there are to see and learn about. The guide is also in love with biodiversity and the preservation of the resource: we learned a lot. He also took some dream photos of us: super complete. The activity is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Due to lack of time I was left wanting the night tour

Night tour with Elias at Ecocentro Danaus - My family and I booked a night tour with Elias and were so pleased with the experience. This was our second tour with him. He is a knowledgeable and dedicated guide, well versed and in the flora and fauna. We experienced a rich diversity of night creatures.

Sloths, Kaimans, Frogs and many more animals - The tour was amazing, we saw Sloths, blue jean frogs, kaimans, butterflies, birds and many more! You could see how much the ecocenter cares about the environment and the tour guide told us so many fascinating facts, we also made super photos through the guides telescope!!

Highlight of our La Fortuna trip - Elias is a treasure. Our family, with a 9 year-old and a 6 year-old, met Elias for a private tour of the Ecocentro Danaus reserve near La Fortuna. Elias was friendly and warm, and an absolute expert on everything we encountered on the tour (and even some things that we didn’t encounter!). We enjoyed the tour so much, we booked a return night tour on-the-spot. It’s clear that Elias has a deep respect for the amazing plants and animals of Costa Rica. It was great to see our two young kids engaging with Elias, asking questions, helping find animals (with flashlights that Elias provided), and delighting in his many stories. We really appreciated his patience while helping our kids take pictures of the creatures we encountered. We had many great experiences in Costa Rica. Elias’ tours were a highlight and we feel super lucky to have met him.

Amazing Night Tour - We had an amazing time on the night tour with Elias. He was extremely knowledgeable on all the wildlife in the area! He has an incredible eye for all the small creatures, showing us various animals that we would never have seen on our own! He even stayed an extra 15 minutes to try and find us some sloths! We found 2! This was one of our favorite activities in La Fortuna. Would definitely do this again!

Great fun, great guide, highly recommended. - We had an amazing time here. Walter was so welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. We saw everything from Red Eyed Tree Frogs, Poison Dart Frogs, Glass Frogs, Butterflies, Leaf Cutter Ants, a number of bugs (from a safe distance!) and finally a Whip Snake! We're not the best with spiders but this really wasn't a problem and we had a great time hunting around in the forest by torchlight - great fun, great guide, highly recommended.
