- San Carlos de Bariloche - After collecting all travelers from their hotels, the journey will commence towards the first attraction. Throughout the tour, a professional guide from our team will be present, sharing insights into the city’s history and explaining the significance of many place names in Patagonia, which originate from the Mapuche language, Mapudungun. This excursion serves as an ideal introduction to Bariloche, beginning in the city center and continuing along Av. Bustillo, tracing the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi, which will accompany us for much of the trip.
- Cerro Campanario - Cerro Campanario is renowned as one of Bariloche’s most famous viewpoints, offering one of the finest panoramic vistas in Patagonia. From its peak, approximately 1,050 meters above sea level, visitors can view several lakes, including Nahuel Huapi, Moreno, El Trébol, and Perito Moreno, as well as the San Pedro and Llao Llao peninsulas. The chairlift, inaugurated in 1958, quickly became a popular attraction in the region. From this vantage point, visitors can gain a better understanding of the geography of Nahuel Huapi National Park and appreciate the landscape of mountains, lakes, and forests that define Bariloche.
- Parque Municipal Llao Llao - The Llao Llao Peninsula is one of Bariloche’s most iconic areas, situated between Nahuel Huapi and Moreno lakes, surrounded by Andean-Patagonian forests. Its name is derived from the “llao llao,” an edible fungus that grows on trees in the region and was traditionally used by indigenous peoples. The peninsula is also home to the renowned Llao Llao Hotel, inaugurated in 1938 and considered one of Patagonia’s most iconic hotels. The area is part of the Llao Llao Municipal Park and is celebrated for its natural landscapes, hiking trails, and viewpoints that highlight the beauty of the surroundings.
- Lago Escondido - The Lago Escondido Viewpoint is a scenic stop along the Circuito Chico, offering a view of this small lake nestled among Andean-Patagonian forests. Its name, “Escondido,” meaning “hidden,” reflects its location tucked between mountains and dense vegetation, making it visible only from certain elevated points along the road. From this viewpoint, visitors can also see part of Lake Nahuel Huapi and better appreciate the natural landscape that characterizes the Bariloche region.
- Mirador Bahia Lopez - Bahía López is a stunning bay located on Lake Nahuel Huapi, at the base of the impressive Cerro López, along the Circuito Chico route. This location is known for its tranquil waters and for offering one of the most representative views of the region, where mountains, forests, and the lake create a quintessential Patagonian landscape. The bay also serves as the starting point for several mountain hikes, including trails leading to Refugio López, one of the most renowned mountain huts in Nahuel Huapi National Park.
- Circuito Chico - The Circuito Chico Panoramic Point is one of Bariloche’s most famous viewpoints. From this location, visitors can enjoy a breathtaking view of Lake Moreno, the Llao Llao Peninsula, and the surrounding mountains. This viewpoint clearly showcases the combination of lakes, forests, and mountains that define the Patagonian landscape. Due to its expansive view and natural beauty, it is one of the most photographed spots along the Circuito Chico route.
