- The beach closes at dark and horses must be off the beach prior to dark.
- Riders under 18 must wear a helmet.
- No riders under the age of 6 can ride on the trail.
- Children ages 6 and 7 years old can ride but must be ponied by the trail guide.
- Riders cannot exceed a maximum weight limit of 220 lbs/99.79 kg.
- All riders must wear closed-toe shoes…

They are lovely! Was in San Diego for a weekend and went on 2 of the three hour beach rides and the staff was wonderful.

I was very pleased with how Surfside Ranch was accommodating to my needs for the ride. I did my proposal with them and couldn't have been happier with their eagerness to help me make sure this was a special moment. Eileen and Catherine helped me with the actual planning and were able to be adaptable when there were certain delays with my plan on the day of. I would recommend using them. Very fun experience! :)

We and the most wonderful experience! My husband and I were very new to riding and were so impressed by this riding
adventure. The guide was so welcoming and took her time to introduce us to the horses. Our journey took us down a cool trail to the beach where the horses seemed so happy and ready to run… we left the tour feeling like we had the best experience ever for two New Jersey people who were completely new to riding. Definitely give this tour a shot!!!

This was my first time in California, and when I found a place where I could ride on the beach by the ocean, I was super excited! I was the only guest on this ride, and my guide Eileen made it an experience to remember. She also helped me check off a top item on my bucket list, which was riding a horse on the beach, even walking a little ways into the ocean! I was smiling and laughing with excitement the whole time! 10/10 would absolutely do this again if I ever make it back to California!

This was a great experience. The guide was very professional and nice. We got lost amd the guide was willing to meet us to bring us to the right location. From the moment, we got there, Surfside Ranch made us feel welcome. They took extra time ensuring the horses were prepared for us and went over instructions for us due to one of us being a new rider. They guide communicated with us during the whole adventure. The trails were very nice. The beach was amazing and she took us right along the border. We were able to see Tijuana up close. The ride back was a total different trails which gave us some more sightseeing to do. Overall I highly recommend Surfside Ranch if you want an amazing experience. Deliver A+++ results.
