Adventure on a kayak - Very educational and physical journey to view So Cal ocean biome of La Jolla Cove up close, aboard a kayak. We saw many Leopard sharks, orange Garabaldi, hulking sea lions, sea urchins and small fishes amongst the waving sea grasses. The cormorants, sea gulls and pelicans flew above us in a warm, sunny sky. The ocean water was cool, but our full wetsuits kept us toasty. My arms, shoulders, back and legs were tested by paddling through mild ocean waves. I thought I was a fairly fit old guy, but after 2+ hours of paddling, I realized my core needs to be strengthened big time. A cold beer rounded out my day on the water. Bethany, the instructor was informative, funny and a fit paddler, who helped me navigate this water wonderland. Thanks for an awesome experience. Chris Brown

A great booking - Francesca was a great guide! Funny and knowledgeable. We were fortunate to see tons of Garibaldi and several leopard sharks, along with smaller fish.

We will be back again! - Sami was an incredible guide. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with her. She was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and fun. We went for a girls trip, but I will be bringing my husband and two daughters back to have this experience, even though we live in Utah. It was a blast.

Very nice guide, very... - Very nice guide, very helpful. We got sufficient time for both activities, and the experience was quite smooth. Just make sure your physique isn't the worst and you'll be good.

A fun afternoon - It’s worth arriving at least 15 minutes early to get changed. The equipment and guides Roman & Coya were great. We didn’t snorkel for long but it was just enough. We saw lots of cormorants, pelicans, sealions & guppies. The guides saw leopard sharks but i didn’t.

Good-ish - Our tour guide Levi was nice. Fun seeing the sea lions. Water was very cold even with wetsuits. Even our tour guide didn’t snorkel. Not a lot to see under the water. But The kayaking part was fun.

Family vaca adventure - The waves were super bad and we didn’t get to go into the caves due to the high tide, the water wasn’t clear like the advertised picture but was able to sea a few leopard sharks and stingrays. The gal who took us was amazing and very knowledgeable and funny. She made us feel safe and comfortable.

A lot of work for meh snorkeling - The guides were great and helpful but the waves were pretty intense which made kayaking difficult and a little nauseating. They took us to the caves to snorkel and while we did see cool fish, this was the least impressive snorkel spot of the 3 we explored on our own during our time in La Jolla. I think there are better areas to snorkel for sure (La jolla cove where the sea lions are - water is super calm and you can see the same fish AND sea lions or go to the same beach that this tour leaves from - La Jolla shores - and just walk out into the water a little ways to see leapord sharks and stingrays). Also my rented wet suit had holes in it and was damp so it was pretty chilly. The guides also need to speak louder as I couldn’t hear them most of the time on the kayaks.
