Amazing guide, such a fun tour - What a fun experience. It was a moderate paddle out to the caves and back. We saw a ton of leopard sharks (harmless) and sea lions. We are lucky that the water wasn't very rough so we were able to go into the cave which was unreal. Our guide (I think his name is Hakim) was so knowledgeable about the area and he really focused on ensuring we stayed safe and had a great time. I was with my teenagers and we all had a blast. Highly recommend this tour. We'll be back.

Nice way to get out on the water! - Fun and well-organized tour! As a traveler who flew here, I appreciated the option to rent a wetsuit! They also have nice private changing rooms. The tour guides were fun and kept us entertained with interesting historical stories and information about the sea life. Waves were a little too high to enter the sea caves and the water was too murky to see sharks, but I still enjoyed the hunt! If you are wondering if you should rent a wetsuit, know that you have to “kayak surf” into shore, and there is a high chance of flipping then! Most go barefoot in the kayaks, so no need to buy water shoes. Some may have been disappointed to not go into the caves, but I just enjoyed being out on the water, learning a new way to enjoy it, and having knowledgeable and conscientious guides. My only edit to improve the experience would be to add a foot -washing station at the office. Had to put socks on sandy feet — ick!

Excitement in the surf - This was really great! Just enough excitement in the surf to make it a very memorable adventure. Our two teenagers loved it, and so did we. Sea lions! Lots of them. One of our guides was kind enough to take a picture for us and send it to us (we didn't bring our phones - they would have gotten soaked or lost). Super nice staff. Safe experience.

Fantastic use of two hours - Fantastic tour with Tyler, very informative and knowledgeable tour. I would recommend to anyone. I didn’t expect so much information about the sea life in addition to the caves.

Great experience - It was a great day! Great guide, gorgeous weather, great sitings of wildlife. Paddling was easier than I expected, but that’s OK. It was a relaxing time.

So fun!! - Had an awesome time on my solo vacay with this company! Staff was very friendly. Despite having limited experience and some hefty waves that day, our group stayed relatively dry and everyone had a great time. Tour guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. We had seals swimming only a few feet away from us, they were adorable! Definitely a bit of nausea from all the rocking, so fair warning to anyone who may be sensitive!

Our tour guides John +... - Our tour guides John + Wyatt were super fun, friendly, and informative. We had a great time exploring the La Jolla Cove and would do it all over again! We appreciated the tips about viewing the sea lions at night and dinner @ Dukes. It made for a memorable last day in San Diego with my son. Thanks fellas! Jessie + Milo from Ohio ✌🏽

This was a good... - This was a good experience! Our guides were fantastic- the perfect combination of punny, educational, as well as helpful in keeping us safe on the water. We learned so much about the history and sea life in the area that I didn't expect to. We saw birds, sea lions, as well as fish. The reason I gave it 4 stars vs 5 is that it was not communicated to us until we were heading out to the beach (so not even at check in or during gear fitting) that we wouldn't be kayaking into the sea caves. While safety is definitely a priority and I understand this tour company can't control the waves of the ocean some communication in advance (which they can control) would have made this a five star experience!
