Definitely creepy vibes - I went, earlier in january and found it super cool!! I will say the vibe is definitely spooky and but unsettling, but still was fun.

Had a good day - It was fine. We did the city package which included alcatraz ridley’s, which is a must do! We had no issues, got our tickets scanned immediately and we’re on the boat.

Wow to do in San Francisco 🤩 - Very easy to access and find for the landing. Nice staff. And what about the visit was mind-blowing. Goose bumps. Audio guides are ready and adapted to your language. It's great and it allows us to go into the details of the prisoners' detention and explanations about the escapees. The less appreciated thing that has nothing to do with the claimant is the non-maintained borderline shredder side of the prison area. One return possible every 30 Minutes you have to count on being on site 1h 1h30 is very good. Small tips arrived at the first shuttles in the morning because otherwise there are a lot of people and waiting. For us who went with family we enjoyed it very much.

Ferry time different to what we booked! - The tickets came through at 0100 of the morning of the tour (not the day before as promised), which was a little stressful. And then instead of the tour being at 1045, the time we booked, the ferry tickets were for 1130! Luckily this time worked for us. This rings true with what some other people have reviewed. The QR code worked fine, and the app you downloaded from PinTours with extra info and your guide info was good. The ticket included the Jail House audio no problem!!

Alcatraz Night Tour - The boat tour from Pier 33 started on time. After a short crossing we reached Alcatraz where we started the Cellhouse tour. Audio guides with headphones in German and other languages were available for each visitor. Even the ferry back left on time. The app guidance offered by Pintours did not work for us and is not necessary in our opinion.

No tour, No communication - Tour was canceled with no heads up from Viator. We only found out like others when we showed up to the pier. Not even a tour guide showed up. We had to ask someone that worked at the fairy who told us Alcatraz was closed for the day. Yet they still send me request for a review on how we enjoyed our tour. I will never use them again. Anyone can take your money and a reservation. It is the follow through and communication that makes you a successful or a failure. You failed. I even went as far as to reach out via text to verify the tour was still on. I got a response saying a representative will get back to me shortly. They never did. I called yesterday and was told I would get a refund. I asked for an email confirmation of the refund. They read back my email address, so I know they have it. Nothing. Yes, I checked spam. See if I get my refund in the next 5 business days.

Alcatraz - bad experience from Viator - Not happy at all. Allowed my booking for 5 people and took my money (nearly $500) on the day, when we rocked up at Pier 33 Alcatraz Boat departure, we were told they were overbooked. Visitor told me there’s a “glitch” in the system, but any refund also doesn’t compensate us for the hours we lost where we could have planned and done something different. 🥺
