A must visit for any Disney fan! - This is a must visit for any Disney fan, fan of history or anyone in the San Francisco area looking for a great activity to do. Allow yourself at least 2 hours to properly explore the museum, there is a lot to see, read and learn and you don’t want to miss anything! I recommend buying the tickets online before arrival, but there is the option to buy when you get there. There are several different price options for adults, kids etc. The museum itself is situated in a beautiful red building, close to the Golden Gate Bridge. It has two levels to it. It is wheelchair friendly and also has lifts inside, so you don’t have to take the stairs. The museum takes you through Walt Disney and his family’s past, with historic items from his childhood to adulthood, and takes you through the journey he had to become the famous man everyone knows. You will see the various companies he worked for, his first drawings and designs, all the way up to the creation of Disneyland itself. The museum boasts a massive replica model of Disneyland park which is fascinating to view and admire and there is so much detail shown about the park around it. Overall an incredible visit. I learnt so much I didn’t know about Walt Disney and the history behind the parks and it is a really enjoyable experience. All staff are friendly and professional and there to help you with any questions. The museum is easily accessible by car, with parking right outside, drop off via taxi or walking from nearby.

Great Museum! - I really enjoyed how interactive the museum was and the telling of Walt Disney's life story. It was interesting that there were aspects missing from who he was as a person, but otherwise it was a great museum.

Great museum - This is an excellent museum that gives you glimpse into the life of Walt Disney. It has lots of memorabilia from his life as a cartoonist, to his studios, Disneyland and of his death. There is lots of reading and I would allow 2-4 hours easily to go through if you read all about his history. Enjoyed our time there and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the museum to Disney fans.

Well Worth a Visit! - My wife insisted we go and I was a bit surprised by how big and complete it was and I loved it which also surprised me. Being able to see how Walt Disneys brilliance and vision unfolded was really amazing. I was flooded with memories and emotions walking through and seeing the making of and scaled plans and layout for Disney Land was very cool. He was a genious.

Love this museum - It's so hot interesting to see all of this since my family sold the land to Disney many years ago. It can take quite a long time to go through all of the exhibits.

Rich and varied treatment of Walt's life and career - Seems bigger inside than out. Lots of artifacts and a lot of great interpretation and clips. A great sense of how "hands on" Disney was - not just a figurehead. Almost too much. You would be there all day if you read everything and maybe two days if you watched everything. I did not find it relaxing, due to the pretty big crowd and the amount of displays in a small space. Not many opportunities to sit and cleanse your mind but definately worth going, especially if you like seeing Oscars like I do. Good chance you will have a nice choice of food trucks if you hungry before or after going.
