Discovering San Gimignano independently is a breeze:
San Gimignano is a quaint, fortified medieval hill town near Siena, famously dubbed the “Town of Fine Towers.” The town is renowned for its saffron, the Golden Ham, and its famous white wine, Vernaccia di San Gimignano, crafted from the ancient Vernaccia grape cultivated in the sandstone hills.

While in the main square, be sure to try the world’s best ice cream at Gelateria Dondoli, a two-time world champion!

• Podere La Marronaia- Le Colonne Biodynamic Winery & Farm - Lunch at a Tuscan Organic Farm

It’s time for lunch! We will proceed to a charming organic Tuscan farm, perched on a hill with a romantic view of San Gimignano. Here, you’ll savor a traditional, authentic Tuscan lunch:

A first course of bruschetta and cold cuts, accompanied by pecorino cheese
A second and third course featuring pasta and other traditional Tuscan specialties
To conclude the meal, a delightful dessert
The meal will be paired with 4-5 glasses of wine, including Chianti DOCG, Vernaccia DOCG, Super Tuscan, and more.

• Monteriggioni - Monteriggioni Castle free time.

After lunch, it’s time to explore the Monteriggioni Castle, an intriguing medieval fortress. Constructed by the Sienese between 1214 and 1219, it served as the frontline in their conflicts with Florence.

The castle successfully resisted numerous Florentine attacks until 1554, when, in a gesture of reconciliation with the Medici, Captain Zeti surrendered the castle keys to Florentine forces. This act was deemed a “great betrayal” by the citizens of Siena, who cursed him for his actions.

According to legend, on full moon nights, you can hear the sound of horses’ hooves and see the ghost of Captain Zeti galloping around the castle grounds.

• Agricola Poggio Ai Laghi - Final Stop: Wine Tasting at a Chianti Classico Winery

Finally, we will visit a winery in the Chianti Classico region called Poggio ai Laghi. Here, you will sample a selection of exquisite wines, including a perfect Chianti Classico, Super Tuscan, and other fine wines.

At the end of the tasting, we will return to your location.
