As I embarked on the journey from Rome to San Giovanni Rotondo, I was filled with anticipation and a sense of spiritual purpose. The pilgrimage to Padre Pio’s Shrine had been on my mind for quite some time, and the opportunity to finally experience it was a blessing. The drive through the Italian countryside was serene, offering a moment of reflection and connection with the land that has been a cradle of spirituality for centuries.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by Rossana, our guide, whose warmth and knowledge set the tone for the day. She introduced us to Luigi, our driver, whose skillful navigation made the journey smooth and enjoyable.
