Worth the early morning! - We went well early, but it was worth it! Guillermo very attentive to the whole group and the queries that were asked. He was concerned about a good experience, not only with the landscapes, but also visiting local ventures. Super recommend him!

A success!!! - The tour was amazing and Antonio did everything he could to make the experience wonderful. Gave all necessary information about the trip, the historical context of the place and the current dynamics. Trustworthy, friendly (does not look like a Chilean), gave all the support to the travellers, always concerned with the individual experience of each.

An experience that deserves to be lived. - Guilermo is an excellent guide and the place is amazing! We went in the summer, but it had snowed a day before, so there was snow on the top of the mountains.

Rundown for English speakers - So this trip was on my last day of a two week trip. I was going for an easy button... Signed up for English speaking...Didn't work out that way. Here is my experience.
The day before they will check in for your address. At 8pm they will contact you to figure out a pickup point and time (mine was 6am). They had ignored 2 attempts to contact via tripadvisor and whatsapp days earlier. I didn't try phone. As I suspected I was at a place they did not pickup but we found a place a few stops down on the metro and I thought I was good.
Unfortunately subways don't run til 6am (I should have checked) at least the one near me. I saw buses but didn't want to chance a long wait so on foot 2.5kilometers (1.5miles) as fast as I could in order to make it on time.
Got to the van... no English speaking driver. Evidently there was an overflow of English speaking and I got the short straw. 4 of us in 2 other vans. If this happens to you the trick is at stops to quickly find the English speaking guide and listen to his instructions. This is annoying and stressful and why I docked a star.
First stop... Cafe (can buy coffees and some food), free bathrooms, and a river/view walk know time to be back at van. The river is not really that great... Get your bathroom stop and food if you didn't pack next stop for food is at 1pm.
Second (not including overlooks for pics) stop at the dam.... We could walk along the resevoir until the 5 placard and turn back.... 45 min approximately. Full walk, to the second lake, is about 4hrs in both directions, if my interpretation is correct. So not an option. You will be at about 4k feet altitude and it will be much cooler than Santiago. Views are nice but not exceptional if you were in Patagonia.
Next stop was a bathroom for 500 pesos. Not sure why cause no seats and if you can wait a bit longer you will be at the restaurant with free nicer bathrooms.
Then to a quick cheese tasting. This is not standard as the other buses did not stop. Could be a spacer for the restaurant? I thought the ricotta was very good.
At 1pm we reached the restaurant. This is not included in the tour price and they include a tip when charging. Also they will hit you up for 2.000 pesos for park entry and more if paying by credit while here. Food was very good. My sauteed veggies, which was a spattering of carrots, onions, bell peppers and mostly zucchini, was excellent. Those with the salad mentioned the freshness of the veggies. Quantity was generous. And a friendly alpaca watched over. Only complaint was my cortado was very weak.
Next on to the house of chocolate. 2pm arrival... It is beautiful but very busy/lots of people. They queue by bus. They sell most of the same things outside and less people so skip ahead. Ice cream, espresso, chocolate.... Wish I had waited on the coffee. Not sure what prices were like as I was still full and skipped the line all together.
Next 2:45 arrival at the traditional dance. They offered a free glass of wine and hoeur d'oeuvres (this is the included picnic) but really who could eat more? The mc did speak English occasionally which was nice. They passed around a hat for $-- I assume for dancers. It was hot here so definitely wear layers. The mc was exceptional and most were having fun. They played a version of musical chairs but you grabbed a bottle of wine instead of a chair. Winner gets to keep a bottle of wine.
330 back in van. 445 started dropping people off in Santiago. My drop off was around 515 and metros were jammed full at this time.

For Guia Guillermo note "10". For the Chiletour/Viator note "zero". - A unique experience with the Viator X Chile tour: will never happen again! Treatment is awful communication. The only point that was worth it was Guia Guillermo. An excellent person, who really knows the places and treats tourists with education and dignity. Guillermo has nothing to do with the way Chiletour treats its customers. In our case 'ex'.
