Knowledgeable and friendly staff, lots of whales, fun time!

Hi Roland. As you could probably tell when we arrived back at the office after the tour, we were extremely dissatisfied. As you and I discussed before we left, and as I mentioned several times to Beth while underway, for the past week we have watched whales breach, blow and flap their tails at least every minute, if not more frequently, from our balcony or the beach at the Westin. A truly amazing experience, like nothing I've seen before (and I've been whale watching in Baja many times). But instead of heading toward the Westin, where we could see 3 other boats in a distance gathered watching whales (and I'm sure having an amazing experience), Beth directed the boat driver to head straight out to toward the middle of the Sea of Cortez, ostensibly chasing a blow that she said she saw but it never seemed to reappeared. And as we heading further and further away from shore, the swells grew bigger, the boat rocked more, and we all got repeatedly drenched. Yes, the conditions weren't ideal that evening, with the winds from the east and the sun blocked by the clouds, but had we stayed close to shore toward the Westin, I can assure you that we would have had a fantastic experience watching dozens of whales, while staying drier and more comfortable. It was simply a very poor choice of direction by Beth and the boat driver, which given how experienced you all are at this whale watching business, was extremely disappointing and unnecessary. I appreciated your offer afterwards to provide us with another complimentary tour, but we weren't willing to risk repeating that very disappointing experience. As high as our expectations were that evening, the experience was regretfully so far below what we could have ever imagined. I hadn't planned to share our perspective until receiving this request for feedback, and I'm hopeful that they might help serve to increase the future satisfaction of your clientele.
